Hello all,
Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.
But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️
What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?
For me: 1. I washed my hair
2. I drank two glasses of water
3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes
How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!
Alexlisa

SM1234,
All 3 are wins as they are something that you did.
You cannot control the result of any action, just the act of taking it. So you are right in measuring the action instead of the success of the action. I'm sure a lot do not get the distinction, but I am sure you do.
Well done for the actions taken.
I am also glad the walk helped.
Alasdayr.

It is great to her of the achievements we have all made.
I think it is really important to focus on small achievements as this will help greatly in taking our minds off the real tough situations we all go through.
my achievements for today are I was able to have lunch with a small group of friends who were very encouraging.
I have also been asked to share my story at a small gathering and this is to encourage and inspire other men who are going through times
Lets keep this thread going as love hearing the positive news from everyone.

Hi Blufftuff,
In reference to your post on 23 February 2020 as in part you had written "I think it is really important to focus on small achievements as this will help greatly taking our minds of the real tough situations we all go through." ..
I Needed to write my True Feelings about losing a loved in death. Each year I've Fought So Hard Not to let it Get To Me but this year, I'm no longer able to keep it inside me.
I'm truly sorry if my last post may have offended you, anyone else or perhaps it was too heavy to read about My True Feeelings. I've joined the BB Forums to be heard and accepted just like anyone else. I personally chose to be in the Staying Well Section of the Forums to try to help myself as well as others if able.Yes, we all have huge massive isssues to deal with on a daily basis and fully aware that this Thread was designed to focus more on the positvies. That was my main intentions in the first place.
My humbly apologies to all those who I may have upset in any possible way.
In future, will do my best to keep it more light hearted. I'm also a human being with feelings/failings/etc., just as all are on the BB Forums, striving to do our very best to make life more enduring.
Thank you for hearing me.
With Kindest regards to All

Hi there Klienekindt
you have not offended me in anyway at all, in fact just the opposite.
It is great you can be honest whether you are having a good or bad day.
Remember you have nothing to be sorry for.
Hope we hear from you again soon.
All the best

Today I actually had a very good talk to myself and managed to get outside. It was the very first time for very long time.
Went to shops and interacted with people.
Came home feeling a bit stressed yet happpy that I had made this huge step.
With kind regards to All.

Hi Klienekindt,
Good on you!
I just found this thread, I am guessing it's the one you mentioned to me on another thread.
I have not done anything today as yet. But I will be back and write.
