What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Today I'm grateful for:

1. Our Ancestors and connection to Country!

2. All our helpers on BB forums.

3. Great music to help us through the tough times.

Hi EM & Thank you for happy welcome. 🙂

Thus far for today.

Out of bed late.

Made a cup of tea.

Hung out the washing.

Back to bed looking after myself.

Biggest/Little acheivenents I've had yestrrdsy/today:

To be there for a friend who has bipolar & need to talk.

Drove the same friend to get some medical attention.

Yesterday I managed to achieve:

- a reasonable adjustment to new rules and regulations

- sent the boss emails asking for directions to stuff I was sure of

- decided there was nothing I could do if others were not following the rules and regulations

- I did my job the best way I could

Today I have achieved very little.

Struggled to walk around my yard.

Made a nice hot cuppa. Was a huge effort on my part when all energies has zapped from me.

Hi The Rose,

I'd like to encourage you to see just how much you did manage to achieve.

You managed to get outside, that means you were able to get out of bed, some days that in itself can be a huge achievement.

You were able to make yourself a cup of tea, sometimes that takes a lot of concentration and determination to do just that.

On our tough days it can be hard to see any accomplishments.

So congratulations on being able to do something.

Cheers from Dools

Dear Mrs Dools.

Thank you so much for your kind words of support & encouragement that I really needed to reminded off again.

Take care of yourself with kind regards.

Hi The Rose,

You are welcome. Some days staying in bed may feel like the only option, and as long as we keep ourselves safe, that is a huge achievement as well!

I'm learning that some days I am able to participate in activities more, other days are too much of a struggle.

This morning I awoke feeling quite depressed and distraught, not sure why! So I have achieved being able to consider how differently I want the day to turn out.

I have managed to do some washing, will do the grocery shopping soon and hope to go out for a walk later on.

Cheers to all from Dools

Dear Mrs Dools.

Awww... sorry you're not feeling as well as you would like too. I've read so many of your posts with the difficulties you've dealt with at the at same time trying to encourage others.

That's so Commendable 🙂

Did read you suffer from BPD & that in itself is a very hard road to travel on & keep going with it's twists & turns so unexpectedly not knowing why.

Fantastic you're still able to achieve to go shopping.

Have an enjoyable time walking. Its excellent therapy to the soul.

Currently still in bed with a huge thick blanket on my head to keep warm. That helps me a lot. Its so freezing here, raining heavily non stop all night long right to this present minute.

Have an lovely day.
