What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Today's little wins.

1) I played collaborative puzzle solving video games with my daughter (family communication. yay).
2) I went for a walk.
3) I took the rubbish out without being asked.

There seems like a hundred other things I feel I "should" do, but feel overwhelmed even starting. At least today was not a total zero.

Thank you to everyone who has shared some positive they have achieved.

This very exciting and inspiring and would be fantastic if we continued this not only for our benefit but for the benefit of others.

Went to Tafe last week where I am studying community services

Worked in a food bank last week selling food to the less fortunate in local area.

The longest I have been seizure free and long may this continue as feel so good about this.

Went for a meal with friends rather than staying at home was a great night

We do have so much we can be thankful for.

Keep those posts coming.

Regards.

Today's little wins for me:

1) Doing a longer walk than usual.
2) Going RC flying when I really felt like staying home and doing nothing.
3) Using the BeyondNow app.

It is a great feeling to have little wins

imagine if you were to focus on 3 little wins wins a day how life changing it may be

well done

All the best.

Thank you Blufftuff.

I'm trying to ensure I focus and give myself credit on what I managed to do instead of all the other things I could not or did not do.

Today's wins:
1) Getting daughter to and from her appointments on time.
2) Getting some tasks completed for my wife and my daughter while they were out.
3) Supporting my wife when she had a mini-crisis of her own.

Hi everyone, thank you for this thread, what a nice idea.

I don't have anything that I've achieved. I'm a failure in endless ways.

Now Tayla, I'm pretty sure that's not true. I've read many comments that you have left over the last couple of weeks on other people's threads. From what I've seen, you have sought to put your own troubles aside for a moment and tried to offer some comfort to someone else in distress.

That's a pretty significant achievement, if you ask me.

Hi Deckt.

Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot and I appreciate it .

I can't seem to accept the compliment, but thanks. I try to put others before myself, hence me joining these forums. Thanks anyway.

Love and hugs,

Tayla

Today's wins:

1) Being self sufficient in getting myself ready for work and out the door while allowing my wife to sleep in.
2) Remembering names of people that I last met over a year ago (usually pretty bad with this).
3) Walking to a further train station (instead of the closest) so I got some exercise today.

It may be a bad habit, but I don't count "doing my job" as a win (even though it requires creating problem solving).

Hi everyone, it is awesome to see that so many have embraced the idea of sharing their achievements for the day

This is something we can keep on doing and at the same time encourage those who are struggling./

My Wins for Today

1/ No seizures which is fantastic, been 6 months since last one so feeling great

2/ have managed to get out and not stay isolated which is also a great thing.

3/ I may have the opportunity to share my story publicly which will be awesome as have always wanted to do this.

Look forward to reading all your achievements and how this has helped you on your journey.
