Stories of People being kind

Today I went to the gp and cried the whole session. After I desperately needed some food - a cafe is connected to the gp. I cried at the counter trying to order. and the lady got me some tissues. I composed myself & she Said she'd make me something special (instead of a ready made focaccia) she asked me what I liked and proceeded to make me a personalised custom sandwich because in her words it was 'my day' :'( it was lovely. When I sat down she brought me a paper bag and said it was a surprise. Inside were 3 sweet treats, I had secretly wanted them but couldn't afford. Siting here eating dinner amazed at how kind she was to me.

Thank you Sunflowerrs for sharing this heart-warming story. It is good to know the Universe delivered soothing care when you needed it most.

All too often, unkindness makes more of a dent on us than its opposite. Perhaps because it happens more regularly and has a cumulative effect. But a stranger' thoughtfulness and empathy are a blessing that renews our sense of faith in mankind. I believe in earth angels. They may only target one single person but it creates a ripple effect because that person may feel inspired to also act kindly towards others and so on...

It also helps reconcile with Life in general and somewhat makes up for the sharp curves it sometimes throws at us.

Well done for acknowledging and sharing this message of hope.

Hi Sunflowers and how lovely,

I am so happy to hear of the other's woman's kindness. This i a good thread topic, hopefully everyone can share stories. I go to my local coffee shop everyday, sometimes i may get a muffin to go with my drink but not very often. Everyone knows me there, there are new owners and they too are lovely people. Sometimes they do not charge me for the muffin, other times they give my little one a muffin as we are paying and leaving and sometimes the drink is on them. I never expect any of this and tell them how generous they are when they do.

Today I went out fir a walk an decided to catch the tram to do a few things instead of taking the car.

I gave up my seat 3 times for others who needed a seat more than I. It's no big deal , common courtesy really but I felt good and it was appreciated.
