Hi everyone..
Their are days when just getting out of bed is a huge achievement...Other days we can achieve things like washing up the dishes or clothes, sweeping the floors, mopping the floors..very mundane and automatic robot like chores for the mentally well...They do these chores without even thinking about them...for people struggling with their mental health..these are huge tasks...
Very often I’ll get my vacuum cleaner out to vacuum ...then it will sit their for days, me looking at it, walking over it...until I can get motivated enough to vacuum..after I do find the motivation to vacuum...I am pleased with myself...
Right now I have a small foot cycling peddle machine, sitting on my front veranda..I got it out last week..to start exercising..it’s still their, I’m still looking at it...My thoughts each night is I’ll use it for a few minutes tomorrow..
My car hasn’t been washed getting close to a year now I think...Today I did managed to wash it....and discovered that it has a nice shine on it.....I did it...I achieved something positive today..which made me feel better in myself...
Have you achieved a little something today...and how did it make you feel...If you want to share that achievement it might make other people a bit more motivated to achieve something they need/want to do..
Looking forward to hearing about your achievement....and how it made you feel..
Little steps and achievements can lead to bigger steps..and bigger achievements...
My kindest and most caring thoughts...everyone.
Grandy...

yay PF great achievement.
good for u !!
today i folded (badly) a clean sheet and put it in the drawer. Now will fold its friend, the top sheet from the same set. I hope it makes my space feel a bit cleaner not to have the folded sheets sitting on the couch and now they are in their drawer.

I managed to get a train home even though it involved one bus and 2 trains when it is usually one train.
I get public transport a lot but find changes can be difficult at times.

Hi Everyone,
I'm so impressed with everyone's achievements on this post. You should all be so proud of yourself.
I'm not sure if my achievement is as impressive as others but I feel like it is the start of me regaining back control in my life.
I had a terrible experience with a local police officer when I tried to report my husband for domestic violence. I was crying for hours afterwards so I decided that I needed to go back to the station again to complain.
I won't go into all of the details but I did get told that I got the wrong policeman to talk to as he isn't very sympathetic, aren't they all supposed to be?? But that's another story.
I have been told that they will look into what they can do for me, so I walked out of the police station feeling better than I have in months. There is hope after all.
I really appreciate everyone who has posted here as I got my strength from reading about everyone's great achievements. Please keep them coming. Thank you.
Regards,
Emo.

Hello Grandy and All i came across this thread and it's so good to read that many who have posted is exactly how I really struggle each day just to get the tinest thing done when it's no big deal for others. Grandy, loved your opening introduction about the vacuum cleaner and the car. We have a have similarities when i read it, I felt normal 🙂 Thank you for this thread. I don't feel so awkward if my expectations aren't met. Many seem to do a lot on the forums whereas if I just do 1 thing, then it's an achievement for me. Was reading about washing hair. I washed it tonight. It was hard work. Felt good afterwards when it was dry and clean. It's taken me over 2wks to finally get my hair shampooed. I hate getting my head wet. With kind warm regards - Malaika

hi everyone I had a shower today and washed my hair
i vacuumed today which i don't do too often. I had a handyman over and I organised a few things in the house - put together a shelf, checked the bathroom fan, and fixed my broken heater as well. It works a lot better now.

hi everyone 🙂
my laptop had this weird quirk where the mouse used to have a mind of it own and move itself around the screen and freeze often.
Yesterday I googled the problem and found out how to fix it, and fixed it. Feels good to have that annoyance out of my life and also to solve a little problem and see a big effect - eg, more relaxing using the computer now and feel calmer when i'm using it.
