Night Owls (for those awake late and can't sleep)

Dear All
The purpose of this thread is as a meeting point for those that can’t sleep and it is late (I.E. AFTER midnight.)

It can be a useful space for users to share their issues with insomnia as well as coping strategies. It can also be a general space for users to converse and support one another throughout a difficult night.

Yeah 3am wake ups are my least favourite 😞
Because then I have limited time to try and get back to sleep or accept that I’ll be awake through to the morning.

If anxious, I have to get up and put a light on to break my thought loop and find a comfortable place to read.

Hope that washing machine arrives soon! Doesn’t take long for washing to pile up. Maybe it will arrive today and you can pop a wash on and take a nap to the soothing sound of a spin cycle 🙂

Hi Lillylane,

Thank you for your well wishes for my interview. I had a bit of an issue with attending the interview as I wasn't allowed to use the car to get there so I had to walk a really long way to get there.

I didn't find out that I couldn't use the car until this morning. Luckily I allowed plenty of time to get there. I was on time just, thank goodness.

It went really well, I'm not sure if I will get the job but it was good to get some interview practice. I won't find out until next week sometime. My fingers are crossed.

I'd better go as this is normally for night owls only. I hope you get some more sleep tonight and that your sinuses are a bit better.

Thanks for letting us know how today went. I’m in complete awe of your resolve and determination to get to that interview (AND you managed to have a good interview - despite being denied the use of a car. What an accomplishment, Emo)

I realise there would be much left unsaid with what you are dealing with.

I guess the question that keeps coming to my mind is how do you connect with people in your area who can support you in your plans (for new job etc) And how to have a safe connection with that support. Especially in times when things change quickly and you are denied or blocked.

When other "more important" things are taken care of here, I'm going to get lights set up so I can MOON GARDEN at night lol. Moon energy is good for women apparently. Just need a CCTV Camera facing the garden and I'll feel better about doing it.

I’ve not heard of Moon Gardening! Is that when it’s a full moon? It would make good use of the time I’m up in the early hours of the morning. Though I kind of imagine I’d be out there tripping over cats and digging up plants instead of weeds 😉

It really does seem other-worldly when looking outside during a full moon.

I’m ok thanks - I’m at the tail end of some illness so sleeping a bit more upright which feels a little awkward but it does seemed to have helped.
