Hi everyone,
Not sure where to start so hope I can express myself clearly and maybe with others' input we can expand on this. I'm interested in people's thoughts/ experience with meditation, manifesting, gratitude & the law of attraction. I've recently started using the Smiling Mind app to meditate when going to sleep and sometimes when feeling a little anxious, like tonight. It is something i thought i could never do as my mind rarely stops, however, with persistence, I find I enjoy it. I guess i tend to have a negative mindset which I am determined to change.I always felt uneasy about thinking positive things as i thought i would jinx myself, and that whenever I made a positive comment or felt happy it would go wrong or something negative would happen. So i refrained from allowing myself to be too happy, I guess to 'protect' myself. Recently i have been feeling happier, stronger, expressing gratitude and taking note of when things have come to me when i needed them. Coincidence, or answers to what i put out to the Universe? I like to think the latter. A work colleague one day told me to manifest something i wanted, put it out to the universe , so I'm trying. Example, recently we needed to measure the floor space at reception so we could calculate how many people we could have in at one time. I needed a tape measure, which i did not have. At that moment our handyman walked into the office. Guess what he had? I am getting into the habit of practising positive thinking instead of thinking/expecting negatives. If something 'negative' does crop up, it can be dealt with, it's not the end of the world. I look for the positive in every negative situation. I am becoming more aware of being grateful for little things, things like getting a good car park at work, a warn cosy bed, a tidy house. I feel when i am expressing gratitude I am putting positive thoughts out into the universe and I notice more positives instead of focusing on negatives. Late last week we had internet issues at work and a colleague i found a little annoying. I've been feeling very drained, agitated, negative for a few days. This morning things were not running smoothly for me. A result of my negative mind perhaps? Little things became a big deal, my morning was crap. If i look back, it wasn't really an issue, i just did things in a different order which gave me more relax time this evening. The Law of Attraction, positive thoughts, positive experiences.
What are your thoughts?

Hi Therising,
I do know what's causing the anxiety. I will overcome it. I will deal with when I am ready to. In the meantime I feel like a failure for avoiding it. I'm ruminating, thinking the worst. I'll be ok.
Today I feel a bit better. I suddenly felt exhausted & all my energy drain. I'm thinking it may be the anxiety leaving me.
When I'm in a better mind set I'll deal with the trigger.

After posting this the other day I thought to myself to search for jobs just in case and a role I have wanted to apply for since forever just opened up that day! I really think this was the universe giving me a sign/manifesting!! So exciting, even if I don't get it it just really gave me hope and put me in a good mental space 🙂

WOW, that job opening up is def a sign. Now you just need to believe you already have it. You are correct though, if this isn't the one it's because there is something else out there for you. You just need to draw it into your life.

Sometimes when I look back and consider all the birthday cakes where we blew the candles out while being encouraged to make a wish, I think why didn't anyone say 'Blow out your candles and manifest' instead. Beautiful when you think about it, starting our own personal new year blowing our greatest desire out into the universe for it to catch hold of. Perhaps a new tradition could involve lighting a candle everyday while celebrating the day we were born to manifest the life we desire most. Very excited for you 🙂

Hi CMF
I find times like this really challenge me, especially if I can feel such times so deeply. I find they can border on depressing and I don't use this term loosely. Mentally, it can feel like you could drop to your knees and question, as you cry to the powers that be 'Why have you abandoned me? I've been doing everything possible to make this all work and now it's gone, my ability to work it. What am I doing wrong?!'. Physically, I can feel like a happiness junkie coming down from a fix. There's no longer the kind of energy there that keeps me so high that it feels like heaven on earth. And naturally/spiritually, it can feel soul destroying.
I used to suffer terribly through such episodes until, after them happening so often, I came to realise they're a natural part of the process. I've come to expect such times. Such times can tell you you're in a challenge. Such times can also act as 'testing times', to see how well you've mastered what you know or what you've learned so far. They can also be times that dictate the importance of focusing on 'charging up', especially if you've been facing exhausting people or situations. If we're vibing low, it can also be a sign that we're vibing on the verge of getting sick like with a cold. They can happen as a wake up call to regularly 'Stay connected' in a more conscious way. With this one, people partake in regular meditation practice or prayer. I smile when I say it's kind of like 'Checking in' or 'Phoning home'. There can be a lot of reasons. Rest assured, you'll be up and running again, something to look forward to.
With a 'Checking in' prayer or meditation, which can take as long as you like, it might go a little like...Finding your place/your connection, by relaxing/gradually breathing into it, you might enter into heartfelt thought such as 'I am deeply grateful for the life I have been given. I am grateful for the lessons I have learned from so far. I am grateful for the gifts. Today I am feeling stuck and don't know how to move forward. I feel lost and can't see or hear or feel the way ahead. I need a hint, a sign, some assistance with direction...'. Then, observe what naturally comes to mind. Could be an image of the way forward or could be something like the words 'Stop trying to get somewhere and just relax and observe', for example.
Can be hard to know at times what are our ego based words and visions and what is our inner tuition, the instruction or teachings that come to us from out of the blue 🙂

I started to feel a little more upbeat today & surprise, surprise angel numbers appeared. 111, 333, 555. Amazing how my vibe lifted & there they were.
