Hi startingnew,

Well I think so...in the sense that your thread is (and continues) to help people. I mean, I've seen the positive feedback from other BB members on the first page 🙂 Not to mention the countless other readers who have read (but not responded) that have found your thread helpful.

Kind thoughts,

Pepper

thanks Pepper

i can only hope its helping others. ive had to use these strategies many times myself. not all of them work for me but other can try them and hopefully they work for them too

Hi startingnew,

Well, I think part of the beauty of his thread is there's a wide variety of suggestions meaning people can pick and choose what to try 🙂

I love pampering/beauty treatments if I'm having a rough day. They're not so much coping mechanisms as much as they are distractions, and I admit that not everyone is into this sort of thing but for anyone who is into it:

- hand, face, foot, lip, etc masks

- DIY manicures and pedicures

- make your own exfoliants e.g. coffee scrubs

- collect FREE samples of skincare products and perfumes at shops. I love getting free samples especially if the perfume samples come in miniature perfume bottles 🙂

- test perfume at department store using the little tested cards they provide then stuff those tester cards in your handbag or drawers for a fragrant smelling bag and clothes.

Granted, please be mindful of any health and skin conditions that you have with any of these suggestions of course 🙂

Pepper

that is a very good one Pepper

i find i do the same thing when i go shopping- im one of the biggest tomboys lol but ill still sample all the perfumes, i find chemists are good for that 😉

Hi startingnew,

Thanks, yes, I agree with you that chemists can be great places to test perfumes too 🙂 I think it's awesome that you're a tomboy- go you!

Pepper

Hi startingnew,

Thanks for adding more suggestions to help us out 🙂 I love visiting this thread especially if I'm having a rough day.

thats great Pepper

im always trying to add more in when i can think of them and havent been repeated so many times 🙂

Welcome 🙂 Thanks startingnew also for how much you give to this forum. You quietly help out and I have noticed how you do that so thanks for being you.

On another note, Stressless very thoughtfully came up with the idea of creating a virtual friendship circle for Sara- everyone is invited- on a thread called "What do you fear (today)?", which is in the Long Term Support Over the Journey forum. There is no pressure as it's 100% up to you but maybe you could consider joining that virtual friendship circle- the more the merrier- but as I said, totally your call.

Kind thoughts,

Pepper
