A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

• 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I have a little goji berry bush for you. They aren't flashy but the berries are very good for you. Another name for them are wolf berries.

Many thanks. In my environment I am "expected" (?) and that depends on the individual I am dealing with also, to respond to issues as they occur. I used to get people calling me 5 minutes after they sent an email asking me if I had done anything about it! Transfer that mindset here, if you are new to the place, and enter that first post, I think it is nice to the let them know there there people here who care etc. and maybe start/draw out a conversation. Some habits are hard to break! Anyways... I will spend a hour or so at night seeing what is being posted and if there is something I can contribute then I will. And my psych said to volunteer somewhere, so here is a good starting place.

Things havent been easy for me esp these last few weeks and still quite a few hard challenges over the next 2 months in particular. DemonBlaster, GGrand, Peppermintbach (Pepper) and Just Sara (Sez) have really stuck by me and have given me the support, encouragment, comfort, shared their knowledge with me and have made me feel really listened to, heard and just a bit more confidence that i can get through this thing we call mental health). Sez I want to say an extra thank you for helping me with a tricky and hard topic recently. I dont have this support offline so I am extremely thankful My 'thanks' do not seem enough. It is really a pleasure knowing and being able to interact with you so thank youmI wish I could express my gratitude to you all a lot better than I am now.
