A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

I have lots to be thankful for today...

For kanga_brumby a huge box of seeds for the social thread Kanga's virtual garden. I was so pleased I burst into tears (happy ones) because you made exactly the place I needed. Thank you.

And to Croix an enormous bunch of sunflowers for the thread store your happy memories here... I love that you've given everyone a place where they can go and get a reminder that life has glorious moments. And I appreciate the time you take to respond personally when you read a posted story. Thank you.

Thankyou so much Quirky!

Bouqet Garni is a great gift...I cook with it at times which always makes for a nice meal.

I'm so glad people are finding wonderful examples of excellence to share on this thread.

Keep up the good work!

Hi everyone,

Today I'd like to give a bouquet of daisies to Blondguy (Paul) to say thank you for the thread in Staying Well "Do you love yourself".

I've been following the discussion and it's been very helpful for me. Some of the posts led me to realise I need to make an effort to try love myself or at least accept and respect myself if I'm going to stop letting hurt in the past have power over me.

So I've started making baby steps in the right direction. My heartfelt thanks to Paul for starting the thread and to everyone who has contributed to it.

I will add daisies to your bouquet as blond guy has made me feel very welcome here and he has really read my somewhat confusing quotes, carefully.

Well done you guys!

And kudos to you too Paul!

Hey Quercus Quirky and Sara

I just want to say huge thankyou for your super kind feedback that you have provided on my 'Do You Love Yourself' thread.

You have made my day in more ways than you know 🙂

I originally posted that thread topic ages ago as I was tired of reading (books) that said 'I should Love Myself' to heal. Those words are still meaningless to me. Its just so much easier to like myself instead....

Mega Hugz 🙂

Hi everyone,

Today I think the bouquet will be made up of orange blossom (such a beautiful smell) and it's to say thank you to Quirkywords.

Quirkywords started a discussion (on the thread do you love yourself?) asking how can you forgive yourself if the person you hurt won't forgive you?

This question has been on my mind and stirred up lots of thoughts (good and bad) and made me sit down and think through a lot of my problems from another perspective.

So thankyou Quirkywords 😊

Hey Quercus

You are spot on..that was a brilliant discussion topic by Quirky. Great to hear the feedback from you on how you have found benefit from it 🙂

Thank you so much, it has made my day.

I want to thank you for your great response to my question which I am still pondering.

Thanks Paul for your kind comment.

I used to have trouble hearing no receiving positive words, but now I say thank you with appreciation.

A huge bouquet of white crysanthemums (the spiky ones that look like white stars) especially for star76 today.

Thankyou a billion times. I've never heard of the wheel of power and control until you mentioned it on another thread. I googled it and it's answered so many questions for me. The key one being was it abuse or am I overreacting?

Thank you star76 for giving me the exact information I needed today.
