Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm 40 years of age, female. My interests include music (any genre), reading a great novel, watching comedy, Restuaranting, and learning new things. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Depression feels very lonely for me. I'd like to reach out for some support. Thank you.

mocha delight said:Hi blueberry as I’ve said I’m not officially diagnosed with anything yet so no and I was exercising but now even 10 minutes sends my mind to a very dark place.
Hi mocha
So exercising is triggering you?
Do you know WHO the trigger is from?
I wrote about an mind exercise I used to get back to the root person of a trigger on someone's thread.
Usually once you know who is triggering you, you can rationalise the trigger, do exposure therapy for it, even by yourself, begin to recover, trigger less and less until it's a faint memory or nothing at all when you're doing the activity.... it's best to have a psych guide you through this.
Hope you feel alot better soon.
Just remember that a diagnosis doesn't cure you. With or without a diagnosis, I think it's 99% hard work on OUR part to get well.
The psych, helplines, forums, friends, etc is about 1% or a little more.
We have to take advice and run with it, build on it, USE it to the nth degree.
You're doing well sweet thing. Sharing with ppl that understand is VERY important!

mocha delight said:Yes exercise does trigger me. And as in “WHO“ do you mean as in like people?
Yes!
Sorry for the hijack Blubes! HUGS!
This year my trauma psych made me take each trigger, one at a time, go THROUGH it with her on the phone word by word what happens to me, then I had to write every step of what happened during that trigger (I only had to do this full exposure therapy for ONE activity that gave me a trigger - she chose the most restricting one, you can choose exercise)...
Whether it's right or not IDK lol... but she said there's ALWAYS "a person" at the root of every trigger.
Mine were so mixed up and convoluted that it took alot of work some times to work our WHO it was at the root ie the cause for our reaction.
You can pop on to my thread and I can take you through this OR if Blubes doesn't mind (sorry Blubes!)... you can do it here with us all supporting you.
The thing to keep reminding yourself is "I AM SAFE" you can also use many other affirmations - as Blubes called them "self-talk".... REALLY POWERFUL stuff.
Sleepy, Blubes, monkey, myself and YOU all showed throughout our posts how we were scared or nervous to do something, we even tried to do it...
Sleepy with shopping...
Blubes with paperwork...
monkey with the tribunal...
me with everything on my thread lol!
YOU with seeing your psych...
We ALL did these things, triggered, did them again, affirmed we can do this (and alot more like talking on BB for support) then did it again...
EVENTUALLY we have fewer triggers..
But identifying the root cause ie the PERSON can diminish our triggers alot esp as Blubes said, if we remove ourselves from those people.
I had TWO people, just 2! As the root cause.
My mother.

Bluberry said:Mocha, when you exercise, it triggers & take you to dark places because you feel as though you cant push yourself to exercise? Then the emotional eating kicks in for some relief. Its a vicious circle. If tou want something badly enough, you have to push yourself & just do it. Itll never happen if you don't. Everything that is worthwhile, isn't easy. You're worth it.
SO TRUE.
It will never happen if we don't.
But it IS worth it.
You are SO WORTH THIS WORK!
We ALL are!
Love you guys

I too have been spending money. Hotel room, eating, drinking...
All so worth it.
Feel fresh after my swim in the large hotel pool.
Right now I'm sitting in an rsl club. A big storm is about to hit so I might have to stay here and leave for home tonight.
