I applied for both paid, traineeship and volunteer work.
In sectors from aged care support to mining to management roles.
I have a postgrad degree and good work references. But it is not good enough because of my bad networking.
I had 5 job interviews but not the selected candidate. I was told many times of the competition.
This has created a lot of anxiety and depression because my savings are running low and my debts are crippling me. Centrelink had rejected my claims because of my savings but that was a year ago.
I was happy in the past when I get work to do.

But I still feel like on a downward slope to destitution.

Dear Wandering Soul~
I'm please you are getting medical support, it can make a huge difference. Such support however is not all there is to it, as I'm sure you would know.. It takes something in your life as well -or it did for me.
When I was invalided out of my occupation I was not in good place, suicidal in fact, and that despite a psychiatrist , GP, hospitalization and meds.
The spark for me was doing a course of study - which I agree is not for many, however that gave me identity (student), purpose (the study) and interaction wiht others (the students and lecturers). This made a world of difference and lead in time to a new life.
I'm not suggesting you follow this particular path. The point I'm trying to make is your life has to have something in it apart from being a job applicant. I don't know what, you would have more idea. Anything from sport to music, or as previously mentioned volunteering.
The combination of the two reinforces each other and produces the improvement you need.
so what do you think, does this make sense, do you want to cast your mind around for something to divide your life, only part applicant and part ?
I look forward to your thoughts
