But I just want to give u a big applause and a comforting hug 🙂 well done mate. Hope you will find the help that you need most and things will go uphill for you

Hi Jackson, sorry I haven't been able to be here for a couple of days. I needed to pop in now to say well done for sharing your distress with your mum. This is a big move and very courageous on your part, whether it seems that way or not. Definitely the right thing to do.
I want to reinforce what others here have said about your father - he is the one with the problem mate, not you. And his reactions and hurt towards you are from his own sense of guilt. Not. Your. Fault.
You are dealing with a lot of painful emotions at the moment that you have kept bottled up for a long time. It is entirely normal that there comes a time when they burst out. And the very best thing to do is let them come out. That's how healing begins.
You have made an excellent start by joining us here and now letting your mum see your pain. When you're ready, please give some serious thought to seeing your doctor and asking about a mental health plan so you can see a psychologist for some talking therapy. The plan will let you do this at a cheaper rate for up to 10 visits.
Talking face to face with someone can be scary at first but once you're used to it it can be the very best thing - they can give you suggestions to help you, but even just being able to get things out of your head and into the open helps you help yourself.
And there is no shame or weakness in seeking professional help mate. No different to going to a doctor for a physical complaint. Most of us here have done it, or still do. It's just part of taking care of ourselves.
I hope today is a better day mate. I'm off to work soon but will try to check in tonight. You're a good bloke Jackson, a truly decent man. Know that.

Hey Croix, thanks for you response. It's been a tough few days but with the support of you and others on here I'm doing ok. No that isn't my cat it's just one from a meme but I wish I could snuggle up like that all the time.
Kazzl, thanks for your reply too, I'm so glad I got to have that moment with Mum. She suggested that maybe i go and see somebody - I agreed but we haven't done anything yet, with the 10 sessions what happens if I run out? do you know if I need that plan to go somewhere like headspace? Your encouragement and support is just lovely. I appreciate it a lot.
Hey CMF, I am ok, went to work today for the first time since last week because I haven't been feeling so good, I'm glad I went despite feeling anxious. Thanks a lot 🙂

Hi Jackson,
Great to hear from you. So happy to hear that the moment with your Mum has helped and that she is supportive in going to see someone. I think the 10 free visits are 10 per year, then you would need to pay. I'm not sure about headspace though.
You did well to go to work today, you battled on despite your anxiety , great effort.
I am happy for you Jackson. Keep posting as much as you want. Happy to keep chatting and love to know how you are doing.

Found this for you Jackson;
Services at a headspace centre are either free, or have a low cost. You can ask if there is a cost when you make your appointment.
Some services require you to have a referral from a doctor. But don’t worry, headspace can help you with this as well.
