I haven’t posted in a long time. I haven’t exactly been “well” the whole time, but I’ve been pretty good. It seems though that I’m starting to experience another low.
There are a number of things which seem to have lead to the feelings I’m having right now.
My mum has been diagnosed with cancer and it’s terminal.
I’ve just had another birthday, the older I get the less I look forward to them as they remind me of what I haven’t done.
Just came back from a trip to see mum (who used to be my go-to support person) and I can see she’s gotten worse. I don’t feel it’s fair any more to ask her to be my shoulder when I need one as she has enough on her plate.
Ive noticed that she is beginning to use me as her emotional support which means I put effort into appearing positive for her.
My boyfriend is not very helpful with my anxiety and depression as he also has anxiety and deals with it completely differently.
I feel like these things have built up on me a bit and now I’m feeling tense and anxious. I’m scared and sad and feeling isolated.
My fear is manifesting itself into pyhsical symptoms now. I’m not eating that well and I feel like my brain isn’t as quick as it has been, like I can’t keep up.
I kind of just need to tell someone these things and hopefully hear that it’s ok to feel this way. That this is temporary and that with effort I can feel like myself again.

Hi Grandy &Chloe,
Grandy I have been eating. I’m eating lots of fruit and veggies, trying to put good things into my body.
When I can summon the energy I also go for a walk. are you still going for your walks? It’s nice now with the weather a bit cooler and all the pretty leaves.
I didn’t do much over the weekend, pooped into the shops, that sort of thing. I have a new plant in my living room. I like the idea of having indoor plants, lets just hope i can keep it looking good.
Well done running a marathon Chloe! I’ve never been one for running, but I really admire people who can. Was it for fun or fundraising or competition?

Its so nice to hear from you, and it's good news as well...
Pleased your eating healthy, that's good, Ive been for a few walks CW, I'm trying real hard, and can get out sometimes and that makes me feel good..
I love Autumn and winter, the cooler and older months have the most glorious sun shine of all the seasons..mi love picking up the leaves, laying them out on cardboard, then clear contact..they make nice place mats..
Ive had a few indoor plants over a period of time...I learned that you can care for them too much...?
The week I got married I bought 2 little indoor plants..lol they were like a leaf only..so small, they survived in the house bigger pots of course over the years, 14 years ago no pot was big enough. We planted both outside, and they continue to thrive..Ive sold that house since planting them..but I sold the house to my son, so I still get to see these two plants. They are huge..one is a monsterio de- luscio. Tree, it bears eatable fruit. The other is a variegated umbrella tree.. oops 🙊 wow I rambled on...

CW hi, my marathon was for Relay for Life (do you know what that is? Some people don't). I actually ran /walked 45km 😊

I know about relay for life. My mum has cancer so thank you for giving your time (and your feet) for something really important to a lot of people.
45km is such a long way, congratulations!
Grandy, it’s great you can still see your old plants thriving. I hope I can keep this new plant of mine going just as long.
Im glad you’re enjoying some walks. It can be hard sometimes, but when you can and do it does feel good.

I’m stressed today. Work is really busy and I feel like a lot of it falls on my shoulders. I’d love to be able to just stay home.
Im also annoyed because this is apparently the only thread I’m allowed to have even if I’m looking for answers to specific questions.
My psychologist has updated my diagnosis to include health anxiety and I’d love to get some advice from other people who also have this diagnosis. But they won’t find it buried all the way down here in this thread.

Im sorry your stressed today..I had to go to work today, it's so hard sometimes to get up and out there..but CW we did it together...let's pat each other on the back..
I don't understand why your only allowed this thread,, have you tried to make another thread under new threads? Or maybe your thread title is to similar to another's, not sure..maybe try again...or if you have another thread can you let me know the thread name and I'll take a look..
I think there are a few other threads on Health anxiety, maybe you can join in on their conversations or try to do another thread..
im really hoping tomorrow your anxiety is less then today's..

Well done going to work, high fives for both of us!
Ive tried starting another thread but it got locked because I have this thread and because there are already other people talking about health anxiety.
I tried searching like they suggested but the top result was from 2015, not exactly recent. I also don’t like the idea of hyjacking someone else’s thread and making it about me, that’s not fair.

Hello CW..
If I come across a health anxiety thread that is a recent one I'll pop back in here and let you know the thread title..
If you call into a thread and join in the conversation most times, that person your talking to will want to pop into your thread and start supporting you as well...Then the health anxiety can be also a start for here ..
Its worth a try, you won't be hijacking There thread, you will be supporting them or asking questions, then they should call into here and do the same..

Hi Grandy,
I hope you are well today. I feel slightly less stressed today. Getting up wasn’t so hard. I’m still stressed but I got a lot done yesterday and that eased some of the strain.
My muscles hurt from being tense. Im hopeful I might have a day soon when I don’t have this constant feeling. Just one day off would be nice.
