Hi Mark
I am so sorry to hear that you are really struggling at the moment.
It is so hard when things don't go as expected with the kids and the extra worry and concern can really take a toll on us. I understand the mobile phone policy, I really do, and for kids like mine that have no reason to have the use of it in school hours I get it, put it in your locker and take it out at home time. If you don't, there are ramifications for doing so. However, for kids that are struggling, who have mental health issues, who have medical issues, who need to have the comfort of the phone to be able to feel a support line is near, I think suspension is rough. This is not a punishable act of disobedience in my opinion and I really struggle to see how she has done an act worthy of asking her not to come to school, this is the very thing you are trying to achieve, her being at school comfortably.
Something that might bring a smile to your face is that my brocoli has budded and I can see the little heads appearing..I am so excited Mark and so very proud..I can't believe it..we have had some really lovely days here with sunshine so I am sure the start of spring has really pumped them up..if that is a thing!
Do you have any idea with what I could do with some Kumquats? The neighbors have a tree and it is full of little fruits and they hang over my fence, they look so lovely and ripe and full but they are not the best for eating...do you think marmalade?
Well I am off to the bank this morning in the final legs to completing the bits and pieces of my mother's estate, it is really alot to manage but I guess it has to be done.
Huge hugs to you my friend and chat soon

Thank you so much my friend.
I am ok, and yes there is alot. It is so much and it is very hard as everything is closed so I am trying to do things against the norm. It is frustrating and taking alot out of me, but I will be ok, I am ok. Probate has finally just come through and I did that by myself instead of engaging a legal team. I am just getting through house titles and all that stuff now.
It means alot that you have reached out to me tonight and I am so appreciative Mark.
I would love some of your Kumquat receipes, I think I would like to make something as the tree is just so abundant with fruit it seems such a shame not to.
How are you? Are you okay my friend?
I know you have your battles and your so strong and so courageous and I know you don't always feel like that, if ever but you are so much stronger and braver than I think you know.
Hugs to you

My self I am struggling mentally.September use to be my favourite month with the weather warming up and the garden going into full bloom. Now I just want winter with the shorter days and being curled up on the lounge in front of the fire.i still cry and feel like I have not improved and regret it all and wish I could change things but never will be able to.
I am still sore from the surgery and am getting around ok.Go back in a few weeks to see the doctor and to have some test done
I will give you my Candied Kumquat recipe to start with .
Ingredients
3 cups Kumquats
2 cups water
3 cups sugar
Method
Place Kumquats and water in saucepan and boil for 30 minutes.Add sugar and boil for another 10 mins then turn off the heat and leave overnight.Next morning bring the mixture to the boil and make sure it does not burn.Turn off heat the moment it starts to bubble and leave to cool. You can eat them as is or cover them with chocolate.
I will give you my marmalade one later.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Hey Mark
I know exactly what you mean about September...my month is July...it is funny how things change and how something that once brought joy now brings fear and sadness and just plain anxiety....
I am so sorry Mark, that you are feeling so sad, it is just not fair and if I had a happy wand I would wave it fiercely in your direction as no one deserves to feel so sad..no one. I hope that it is just a matter of time with regards to your surgery, that things will and can improve on that front for you. I send you my healing thoughts and hope that there is relief coming for you there.
I looked up a recipe last night and am soaking some of the fruit and the pips separately to make some Kumquat Cointreau marmalade, it sounds amazing but we will wait to see......I love the idea of the candied fruit too so I will try some of your recipe too, as I said, the tree is so full it would be a shame not to use them.
I have decided to have a great day today, get some more sun, have some time to talk to my veggies that are in full bloom and put a corned beef in the slow cooker for dinner and make some mustard sauce to go with it...
Sending you happiness too Mark, some joy today, some sunshine and peace.
Your friend

I did some work in the garden today and think I over done it as I am really sore now.I just wanted to get my water melons and pumpkins in.While I was out in the garden a new neighbour walked passed and asked me for some advice on starting a vegie garden at her place so I helped her a bit.The funny thing was I looked at her house before buying this one.It is a high set house and am glad I didn't buy it as I new I would need a low set house with my health.
Big game tonight for your cats and should be a great game.Hopefully I can stay awake to watch it.I went to bed at 5:30pm yesterday as I was so depressed and tired .
Take care,
Your friend,

Yes very big game tonight... just sat down with a glass of wine.
I had no idea why I soaked the pups separately... thank you for telling me that.. it has set perfectly and is amazing... if I don’t mind saying so myself... lol... I am super proud.
You are so knowledgeable with gardening I am not surprised that your neighbour stopped to seek some advice... that is awesome.
My veggies are doing well and think I mite cut my first broccoli tomorrow... we will see...
Maybe a nice bath might be good for your aches??? Do you think that will help? I am sorry you are in pain Mark... sending u strength.
Footy is just about to start so fingers crossed for a good game and a win!
hugs hugs hugs
