Hi Tank68

Great to have you with us and thanks again for having the strength to post your own thread too (thumbs up!)

Just so we can provide you with better support I hope its okay if we can reply to you on this thread instead of your anger, sadness topic. Im sorry about any confusion as it was me that suggested creating your own thread

You are not alone here Tank as there are many people on the forums that are having a hard time with a depressive illness. I dont blame you for feeling worn out after what you have been through.

I did notice when you posted last night and felt your pain....and thankyou for jumping in and posting this thread topic Tank

Firstly....can I ask if you have a GP that you can see? This is the quickest and most effective method to recovery..GP's have a greater understanding of depressive illnesses than they did even 10 years ago so you have everything to gain and nothing to lose by making a double appointment and having a long talk and even a long cry too

I dont have your background yet I understand your symptoms as I have had them since 1983 when I was 23 and they are awful to have Tank. I am in recovery yet still experience anxiety and depression...I also take meds and am happy to do so as they have given me my life back (with regular counseling)

Your symptoms/feelings are very common Tank...

There are many gentle people on the forums from various backgrounds that can be here for you too Tank

If you are stuck and need a voice on voice chat...Beyond Blue have caring non judgemental qualified counselors available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636

Can I ask if the 24/7 DVA support line has been helpful for you? 1800 555 254

any questions are welcome Tank...Great to gave you here as part of the Beyond Blue forum family too!

Hi Tank, this is a copy and paste from your other thread.

Hello Tank, thanks for posting your comment, and the problem may not be
our temper, but the underlying anger in us caused by many different
circumstances we are caught in.

If possible try to do something to distract yourself and to improve your
mood, sounds far easier than it actually is, especially if you are
alone.

There are no easy answers to anger as it can build up over a period, and
remember having a short temper is just a way to release all the pent up
anger that may have suddenly happened or over a period of time.

If you are suffering from depression then it's understandable that anger
will happen, some people show it physically while others do it
internally and hide it.

There are many issues that relate depression/anxiety with anger,
questions we can't provide any answers to and that's confusing, it
annoys us, so it has to be handled slowly, step by step, it won't be
cured straight away, there's far too much to unravel.

Let your doctor help you, that's the start you need, you can't fix it
yourself, because there are many points you don't want to avoid.

Take care.

Geoff.
