It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

We just need a name 🙂

Hey Jo and hugs to you too little snuggle dog, your face in that pic is just divine,

I have had a really busy couple of days at work and so I missed getting to chat yesterday, I have been busy putting stickers on cream..dont ask!..lol

Thank you so much for your words about my cake, it was fun to make and a little bit stressful but I am pretty proud of how it turned out, and it was yummy too! My son was pretty excited and his friends thought it was a cute cake!

I am still feeling somewhat anxious about the trip next week with my brother, although I had dinner with my dad last night and he indicated that he may like to come along too, which would be fantastic as then the focus will shift off me and the awkwardness to try to create conversation. My parents divorced over 30 years ago but I think it is nice he wants to come and support us on the day, it will be very sad and I am just sorry we could not have done more for her, both in her living years as well as for a nicer send off for her. I hope she will be happy with the resting place we have chosen for her.

That is so beautiful that you were able to be in a position to accept love and support, it is sometimes not easy when you are usually the support person, I struggle with it from time to time. I was super happy to hear though that it felt like homecoming for JO, that was so awesome.

I had on an olive green top the other day and one of the ladies at work commented on how nice it was, today she arrived with some Italian Glass ball earings in the exact same colour and gave them to me as a gift and said that they would look lovely with the top. I was so shocked as it was totally unexpected, we are not really that close but I thought it so sweet.

I am super looking forward to tonight as I have not much planned and am looking forward to some me time to just chill and relax, I might even get out this new spiky mat thing that I bought that is like acupuncture, it kind of hurts at the start but it is sooo awesome once you get into it, and it had a neck roll thing too so when you lay on the floor on it is spikes into your back and into your neck, it is so wonderful. Maybe some of that with a candle and some nice smells just might be what I need.

Hugest of hugs to you both and I hope the cold is not too cold, it is absolutely freezing here in the mornings now.

Makes me so happy to chat to you Jo .... and tomorrow I am off to the hairdresser so will be doubly happy..new hair!

We have a dedicated slow cooker with settings for low, high or auto but idk the actual centigrades achieved, liquid bubbles slightly on extended high setting.

Our dogs are closer to being family than best friends, our doggy children for a childless couple.

I note your "pedaling"... are you interested in cycling in general and tour de france 2021 specifically? I used to be a bike courier back in the 90's.

Chai coffee tea and been playing with hot milk ( lots of full cream milk powder ) and honey with side plate of diced banana . Might try to infuse a hint of chilli into that ? Breaky ? Porridge for me I think . Ask LD if you can unsnuggle her ?

Hello d&g , ( hope you don't mind abbreviation ?) . Heston & Tom Kerridge go down to 50°C at times but I have not gone there . 60° to 65°C is my lowest . Pork belly with dry rub in cryovac bag , in frdge 2 to 4 days then 24 to 36 hrs in water bath in bag . If it works there is no separation of meat and water . If separates meat is a bit tougher than target . Alternately 70°C in self basting roasting dish ( not bagged) 24 To 36 hrs then in smoker for 2 hrs as low as possible .

I have my recumbent trike on rollers in the lounge . Safer than highway or log trucks on other road . One of the best investments ever . Mountain bike rider , mostly general riding . Only owned 1 road bike .

Yes the cake truly took my breath away ( hug ). How was last night , a relaxed evening with 1,2&3 ? Thank you for your kind words about those little windows of love last week . At last on my lifes journey I have actually been to that place I have heard of and imagined ! It was , WOW ! Took a little while to sink in what had just happened xxx.

Was advised to have a chat with local policeman about situation here . I have been being invisible to not become a target as u know . B dropped in mid afternoon and was a very good chat we had . There are 2 more mechanisms in place now if needed . He met Jo yesterday and we were both quite comfortable with that . Was a bit anxious before but no need .

Hi d&g , to cold to ride here today. Grey cold and wind. I keep trike set up inside and ride motor bike outside . ( 2005 Suzuki DL 650 , Vee Strom ). Rain just arrived ( 1639 ). Have dinner soon and retire to bedroom ( warmroom ) and either read or tv ?

These modern synthetic tap washers dont last as long as the old leather ones ?

Thank you d&g for hanging around . Do you still ride ? If you do what sort of riding ? I do 2 hr min on trike a day & if I am doing a lot of reading often jump on and read & ride ( just like car drivers today with personal devices )

A few years ago had a spell ( close to 2years ) (I do oversize truck escorts ) of continuous work with a company in NSW . Mostly 7 to 8 mtr stuff . Long distance stuff and you had to be very aware where edge of service areas was as you got so many driving while catching up . Mostly cars but trucks to . We had red&blue with us but they looked after cats and I tried to have all the big ones done by the time the first police car would get there . xxx

Am going to start mapping a skeleton for a book today . Was reading a book that M ( gender doctor ) loaned me to read . It is a very comprehensive compilation of interviews with all kinds of folk that are under trans umbrella . " Trans Voices " Becoming who you are , by Declan Henry . It is out there in eBook but I have bought one from Booktopia $30 . The forward and epilogue are by notable trans folk in British Isles . For any one interested in the transgender part of the spectrum it is extremely informative . lol xxxx

I do still ride but not much really, 40 minutes this week and last week, prior to that nothing much for months.

I'm a roadie, got a Pinarello fp quattro with a Campagnolo group set, bikes name is Nelson. The bike is a "she" with a "boys" name. I spose none of that makes sense given its just a bike, but I think of these things.

Hello my friends and I hope that this finds you all unsnuggled LD and enjoying the day.

That was so wonderful to hear that B has met Jo, that not only did she have the courage to be herself but that B was comfortable and accepting of her. It is always weird how when situations arise and they do go differently than we played out in our brains we feel that relief and wonder why we were so worried in the first place, I am thinking that next week is going to be a little bit like that for me. Thank you so much for offering your support to me, I will be absolutely sure to reach out to you should I need a friendly ear and some virtual hugs. I have not heard if my dad will come with us for sure but I am really hoping he does. But, if he doesn't I will do the best I can with managing the conversations.

You are very right, the weeks are flying by and it feels like muffin day comes around faster and faster, which is not too bad I might add. I have a catch up with friends tomorrow and my daughters sport but otherwise looking forward to some quiet time too. I am wanting to re read an old favorite book that I just love to bits which is The Bronze Horseman by Paulina Simons...it is just soul food. War themes, love story, sadness, pain but such a delight.

OMG that is so very exciting Jo..a skeleton for a book, that is so wonderful. I am so excited for you and for the words that will light the pages with joy, with sadness, bravery of a battle won and of a life that was always meant to be. What an experience to write but a privilege to be able to read such a personal account. My brain is running ideas for a name for your collection but I feel like this is something you already know. Something like "Thousands of miles travelled to destination Jo"....encompasses your life on the road and not only finding the destination of your travels but the journey and arriving at destination Jo....aahhhh the joy of my brain....lol

Now..labels on creams? What would you like to know? and are we talking dairy cream or beauty creams..lol....they are very different..hahaha

Well I am off to have one last coffee for the day and wrap things up here and might even head out for a shoulder massage tonight to treat myself...I just love a massage.

I have quite solitary life and chat away through the day sometimes to my things ? LD can very nearly talk and we communicate freely all the time . Hi Sarah , hope you got massage and then had warm quiet rest time last night ( still is last night I guess as I write ). Be good to catch up with friends today also . Have you looked at roller skates again or thought about skating again ? Re charge after move might take a bit of time to and winter is good time snuggled up with 1,2&3 .

Stumbled onto Community Champions page where the personal profiles are shared . Read all there and cried tears of appreciation , sadness to , and happiness . Added another dimension to BB forums . I have seen that you all cruise about in all forum areas , Not sure why but I feel safer in lgbt area . Perhaps safer is not accurate but not sort of qualified might be better . Need to be better at phrasing and working out how to say things properly to share helpfully with others . Also I sometimes see great distress in especially first posts , and want to comfort people without unintentionally exacerbating their situation in some way . I feel safe in this section to . Confidence is a big one for us all but especially for trans. Baby steps , I have been told .

My friend in Bris ( rainbow councillor ) is getting very close now to setting up with their partner a quite diverse support service and network for what eventually will cover many needs for many people . A 10 year plan ! I will get involved where I can , look forward to that .

How was catch up yesterday Sarah ? Thinking is cold in the south , a stream of lows broken by the highs is going well . We are getting Antarctic blasts on the front of the highs so imagine how cold the bottom half is becoming Brrrrr ! As I get older my love of cold is evaporating , having said that the humidity in the top end in summer is not all that attractive either . Suck it up and build a bridge I suppose ? I have started book ( M gender doctor ) that M loaned me on voice and communication for trans people . Far more complicated subject than I thought . Complex mix it is ( fascinating ).

Jo got a social media page yesterday ? Been off that for many years so will see how it goes . Did some digging last week and found a site that looks safe and is moderated so have joined ? After doing a vague intro post I got quite a few likes 2 welcome ones and one of those was a lady from the Transcendants group I am part of ( although only made 1 face to face so far ) ( 1200 km round trip ). I am encouraged by initial responses . Am quite timid and reserved because of only having had out here to transition . Having said that I do reach out and ferret around to find friendly people and places . I have made contact with quite a few and a couple have become allies and friends ( which I value enormously , this place and you Sarah being in there + plus the others that chat to of course xxxx)
