It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

How are birthday celebrations going ? Does the moon affect your sleep Sarah ?

Will tell you a story from 1977 ! None of this is fiction . It was the night I learned about another dimension ! Only myself and one other were involved . I was driving a very old longnose Kenworth in the pre power steering days . Was involved with carting pipes ( 30ft x 36in diameter in 3 layes of 3 , pulling 2 trailers ) for a water pipeline into Pt Headland . Job took 9 trucks 11 months . Was in WA .

Around 2100 headed south out of Carnarvon on long flat straight roads where bitumen was only 1.5 trucks wide in places . Empty with dog up ( 2nd trailer on top of front one . Essentially a single trailer combo ) 20 or so km out was a truck coming the other way . Edges had been graded so shoulder wasn't to bad . When fairly close I called the Northbound , was a fellow I knew well . Told him I was empty and would give him all the black . There had been a shower of rain on the freshly graded edges . As we closed to do the job I moved left and hit a very soft bit . Sucked me left and I clipped a culvert which threw me straight across to the right . All super quick ! I recall the rivets on his furniture van and I remember the items at the back of his van ? Back rh corner was a beautiful roll top desk . Looked in the mirror ? nothing out of the ordinary ?

3 months later was pulling into a roadhouse at nearly midnight and he was to going the other way . We sat together to have a chat and coffee . Dead straight Akubra guy ? I asked him what was in the rh back door of van that night . A beautiful roll top desk was answer ??

Make of that what you will ? All completely true and accurate . That night at coffee was only time that has been talked by us ?

Guardian Angel ? Was it a dream , no ! Another dimension for a few seconds . Its not common but I know of others and totally believe them !

Short session today have to leave here at first light . The day should finish in c/van park 28 km from gender clinic tonight . Tuesday will be gender clinic then down to Bris if no lockdown imminent ?

Story in last post is accurate and still to this day very clear in memory ? Should have been bits all over the place ? The fellow going North's next truck was a stunning SAR Kenworth named "The Wizard of Aus " ????? ------ did a fine job of running the outside part ( realising having always been Jo everything is very different . No need to get to know a new person or grieve old mate either ?!). I have so many amazing thought pictures in me xxx .

As I said , short one today as got to get this show on the road . LD wont help as she knows she is going to jail ? Been looking forward to this next Transcendents meeting so much and Bris so will be very disappointed if a lockdown looks imminent and have to bail on the Bris bit ? Will have a lot of ABC today to keep up with whats going on in Capital ?

Hey Jo

I hope today was not too exhausting, it sure sounds busy and with your usual early start as well. I hope the sun is shining though, I love being able to look out the office window and see the sun, that is one of the joys I am sure of being on the road, that warm sun beaming through the glass, just love it.

We have had a great weekend full of birthday celebrations, I really cannot believe that he is 17..the time has just gone so quickly. We have had dinners and too much eating and too much cake and presents and shopping and ...yep...tired from just typing that. He will have some of his friends over to my place this weekend to celebrate some more...it is the birthday week that is for sure! School holidays too, so that will mean that I will have random kids at mine at anytime day or night..but I should not complain as they are really awesome kids and I am so pleased with the friendship circle he has, they are just really good kids!

I was so happy to read about the identity struggle and the idea that it actually does not exsist anymore, that is brilliant Jo. I do truely believe she has always been who you are, how could she have not been when everything about her coming to life has been so natural and so beautiful. Not to create thoughts to put into your head but I feel like this has really been so wholesome and true as it was Jo just coming to life, not like you had to "create" the woman you are, she was already there...just right there.

That is so exciting that you sent an email to Sarah Krasnostein, and that she replied, WOW. I love that you love it and really heard another woman's journey into the world, just like yours. I loved it too, how could we not!

I love Jo's choice of eye makeup, it is the same as mine. Love the earthy tones of gold and brown and then to hit it with a bit of sparkle on the top. I also like to underline my eyes with a white pencil, as I have blue eyes it makes them really pop..cool trick.

I am still getting over the story from Canarvon, there is no words for when things like that happen, they really do happen, how on earth could you have ever known what was in that truck, how on earth could you have known the detail..it is not explainable but it is totally believable. I have some stories about people who have passed that have visited, I will do that on another post.

Hi Sarah , so happy that weekend went well , awesome !!! Ah ! 17 again , if only ( just for a day ) Think Transcendents will be zoom only . LD will be happy as I will get her Wednesday morning . Will head west after appointment and miss the Brisbane bit & do the zoom from a town 350 west of Bris . Good hidyhole there and good signal , just gotta be there by 6 pm.

A little sleep in for me as no trike to ride here so I lay awake from early warm under rugs being careful not to go back to sleep as fear the nightmares ? Bit of a buga but thats how it is ?

Had awesome chat with MH nurse friend yesterday and look forward to next one and meeting with him and wife to do some planning for the project ( support for gender diverse out here ).

Went in to little bush hospital clinic ( where I see wonderful lady doc ) to send of another referral for surgery . Dropped of Trauma Cleaner for the nurse lady who runs the clinic to . The little pockets of love and support I have been encountering here and there is just so encouraging for the human race .

Have been getting a few questioning looks of late when out and about .

Couldn't get ABC here last night on tv so missed one plus one , Cortney Act is doing some as presenter . My hands are cold and fingers aren't behaving 👎.

90% will not go down the big hill to Brisvagas ? Saw big lines at testing site in Gatton on last nights news (10) . The authorities are getting worried so probably best to stay clear , dont get second jab till mid August . That can be done after 4 weeks but max result is 3 months .

Well my very dear friend , I wish for you a happy safe satisfying day , full of warmth and love . Enjoy Chai and stay safe and warm . ( got ABC on and pandemic is getting scary ) . OH YUM...I have not had toast and honey in ages and now reading that I could sooo eat a whole loaf of that right now! Awesome that you can have a little sleep in, sometimes a forced one is just what we need. I am sorry that you suffer nightmares, I did not know that. Do they come in the times when you have been awake and then drift off again or do they happen any time on any night? Only if you want to chat about that Jo xx

Fantastic to hear that the chat with the MH nurse was great, that you have so many goals that you want to achieve in this space and that you have support from others too that want to get to the same destination as you, for gender diversity and especially in remote locations.

I love that you have shared "The Trauma Cleaner"...I love that about books that you can give a part of your heart for another to experience. Books really do touch your soul and it is so cool when you can on gift the joy you felt when reading, likewise when someone gives you a book that has touched them and you get to share that moment too. There is so much more to books than just words on pages. I am trying to get this message through to my daughter atm, she is not really a reader where my son and I are, she just has not found a book she loves and is really not interested. That is fine if she does not want to read but I hope she too can experience at least one time when a book rocks your soul.

I love that LD is also known as piglet, OMG that is adorable...and that she went away with her little pink bed and her coat...oh the joy she brings. Yes we do become attached and the love that animals give is the purest really, they give without terms and love so honestly...so much that we humans can learn in this space.

Well I am on my third coffee for the day, eargerly awaiting the Chai, it is still 2 degrees here and I am shivering in this stupid dress that I chose to wear for the day!! Epic wardrobe fail! I will never learn..lol

I love Courtney Act, she is absolutely stunning, and I love the podcast that she does too with Vanity.."Brenda, Call me!"..if you have a chance to listen it is so good, you may have already. I follow her on social media and just love seeing her wardrobe choices and her make up....just stunning.

Well I am starting the cake for the big birthday party on Saturday, I am making the Train cake from the WW cake book.

Another safe happy day for everyone begins . The sound of the waking world is all around me here. 50 mtrs off the highway in the middle of medium size town . Being a commercial vehicle I get away with spots motorhomes and campervans would not . Good tv and strong net .

Two eggs on toast and hot drink . Will be taking orders soon .

Hi Sarah , amazing friend . Dont you hate that when you dont dress warm enough ? Did you find a warm spot for the day . Books can be very special . " Lucky for me " , a book about a little terrier dog that was a stray ( I think ) and ended up being a much loved wee dog on a small cruising trimaran cruising the qld coast . They anchored next to me in Brisbane river long before the book . Great story ( tear ) and beautiful people and furbag . xx

The dreams ! Direct result of the cortisol . If after the rem sleep ( for me 2 to 4 hours ) I do go back to sleep they attack me . They wake me usually and I am then a wreck in many ways and it is likely that that day can be a write off . Part of the fight and flight mechanism , I think they are meant to wake you ( cave man technology ) so you can be aware and stay alive . Not ideal but ok if you understand it . So after rem I normally wake and at home get up but here I just stay warm in winter but may get up in summer and do stuff till time to start day . 0230 today was wake up then just have bulk thinking time . Pretty handy some times when trying to work things out , still is restful just laying down thinking . Body stays in guard mode so it does not go back to sleep easily . The clinical Psychiatrist thinks its from the childhood I can't really remember ?

We have tried reprogramming me but it was unsuccessful ?

Many things that were , are now no longer a problem now Jo is free❤

Sadly yesterday after gender clinic I headed west ( back towards home pick up LD later this morning ) , lockdown ! Another time . Caught up with trans friend though . We had 2 hugs ,I made her laugh as each one I tallied up , 4 now in 2021 . All with her . Previous decade , sadly none ? ( back in the living world again ❤)

How is your nearly done week going Sarah ? How is the cake ? I felt cold when I read your wardrobe mistake , do hope you found a warm spot to hide xx . Thinking you might have a moment to go roller skating again soon ? I know you enjoyed that very much , a moment for you perhaps x . Are 1,2&3 still doing nocturnal acrobatics ?

Thankfully 3rd quarter of moon tomorrow night . Just had 2 nights of ok sleep ! Moved a medication 12 hrs from morning to night ? Doctors told me it would make no difference but it seems it actually might ? Try to keep fit so very few meds . I see others my age taking meds for everything and they age and become less and less active progressively on that road .

Last Friday the lockdown writing was on the wall and sadly it happened , all good meant to be and T was differently happy when I picked her up at lunch time yesterday . It is like she is saying we are not supposed to be parted so it will be only in cases of emergency from now on . Piglet is showing great gratitude to be in her space and with this old bat ( she calls me that I think ) . Somehow there has been a huge escalation in her showing me how precious we are to each other . Clingon trait perhaps . Most loveable creature that she is !

Enjoyed the town on the mountain to . My friend who has moved up North rang me Tues evening and we chatted for couple of hours . His dad lives in that town and is a friend also . Quite old & his license has been called in . Am yet to ring him but R said would be fine to park there for longer spells away from here . G ( R's dad ) is a lovely man . Was one of the founders of Australian Photographic Society . Still gets about judging things they do . Best black and white photographer ever I think !
