It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

We just need a name 🙂

huh im good. been playing persona 3 because ive committed myself to a really dumb joke of "what if i named the protag mary poppins" and the calendar mechanic is linked to the moon phases. important events always happen on the full moon. someone says how apathy syndrome cases are rising due the leadup to the full moon and i think "damn must suck to b jo in the p3 universe"

LD and I are going to get new windscreen in Mr A ( work car ) today and Psych appointment . Then back home . Have to leave here by 8 then should be home between 4& 5 pm .

Hi Eight , how are you ? I wish I could use words in the manner you do , but I can't . Been doing a lot of pen to paper here about the trans journey . Don't really know how it reads as have written some stuff about some adventures I have had but they disappoint me when I read them ? Had this moon thing all my life , didn't effect me a lot as I have always worked long hours so as long as I can get a 4 hour block of sleep per night that's enough . Take care x

Hi Sarah , pm Tuesday , when leaving the psych appointment today I had just come out the door and was putting LD on the ground and Psych lady ( the one I see ) stuck her head out and said " Jo when you turned to come out the door I saw the woman " ❤. Just wanted to tell you that xxxx .

Hi Sarah and anyone else who comes to the Cafe . Thank you Eight for posting yesterday , happy to see you . Hope life is good to you and you are well ?

LD and I had a big day yesterday and it wore me out . That darn moon had me awake early ( even for me ) . Awoke just after 0100 and no more sleep till 1900 last evening . On way home from psych appointment had to pull up in a shady spot in a little village about 75 km from home as was to tired to keep pedalling . First I try the quick coffee and snack then if that fails I have a quick lay down and sometimes a little sleep or maybe a big one on occasions ? The vehicle ( work car) is an old ambulance and is like a motor home so life on the road is comfortable . When in the big town we had a new windscreen fitted while we went to Psychologist . It was a bit further to that than I thought , they offered a car to me but I was early so we walked , Turned out to be about 1.5 km each way and sun was,warm . The psychologist I see is a very lovely human and as,always we left feeling so very happy . A good day and thanks to the moon I was tired enough to get a good block of sleep to keep me going today . Awesome !

Can't wait to hear about your hectic time Sarah . So happy for you to as long as its good xxx . That moment when I left psych appointment was another cherished memory . Seem to have more of those since birth of Jo than the previous many decades , all my life really ? Bit sad that. Was a long apprenticeship I think .( slow at learning had to keep repeating ?). LD is having one of her events , have to sit in chair and cuddle little one for a while .xxx

Hey Jo...and of course you too LD..

Thank you for your patience with me..this week has been super hectic.

The weekend was so wonderful, I was out in the community with Beyond Blue volunteering with soo many others at the Beyond Blue Cup, which was at the MCG and Melbourne V Hawthorn. It was so awesome to be back at an event after 14months and to be talking to people and to be flying the flag for everything Beyond Blue stand for, it was truly so wonderful.

ohh the mandatory Chai has just arrived for the day so that makes me super happy as you know..and you are very good to remember muffin day..yep that is tomorrow..lol

That was so lovely to read that you have gone back over all of our conversations and have reread them, I hope too that you can really see your growth and your bravery and things that were so all consuming at the start have found less of a role in your life. You really have such a wonderful story to tell, and it is still just the beginning...I can't even imagine all the other folks who are reading these chats and who are going through their own journey that may be even so very similar to you and gaining strength and courage and mostly HOPE from your experiences that you are sharing. We are actually the lucky ones to have you here.

I am so happy to hear that you feel comfortable here, I do too and it is mainly where I have done so much of my purging and venting and putting things out there to gain clarity and some understanding from others. I should find my original post here and put the link so you can read it..if you like...I might do it as I have not read it for awhile and it does remind me too of how far I have come.

I am so happy to hear that your psych appointments are giving you your memories back in a heartfelt and cherished from, that is so wonderful to hear and I am so very happy that this is being a positive experience for you.

I really agree too with you on what you said about writing..some things are really best left in the time and space where they belong and it was so nice to hear that from you to give me some positivity in that space too....I sometimes feel bad for what I have written there, maybe that is why I don't go back to it, however at the time it is what I needed to do.

I had to laugh when you said LD was grumpy the other day..it is really something I just cannot imagine, but the picture of her in my mind being so tiny and all huffy made me laugh....

I hope today is wonderful for you both

Hi Sarah , awesome that you do volunteer work with BB , your a champion . So glad the crazy week was a good crazy . Will do a short one now ,( ha ha , let's see how that goes ).

Saturday is the day can talk with my friend and his wife out here again . Am hoping we can work on something out here that can include working with BB . I do hope we can work that out .

Have been on you tube flying with dmytro antonov . I just love those people in those giant aircraft . Just had a beautiful sunrise before landing in Spain ?
