It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

I follow a YouTube channel named Dmytro Antonov . ( addicted really ) . He works for Dnipr Airlines ( spelling? Which fly out of Ukraine ). They have 7 Antonov 124's ( a bit bigger than 747 jumbos 40 ton greater max take off weight ) 2 Antonov 225 Mirya's ( huge aircraft bigger than an Airbus A 380 , again about 40 ton greater max take off weight ! Six engines . Hugest of huge . ) The company has an assortment of smaller Antonov aircraft . After following them it is like here , you kind of ( in a screen way ) belong there with them . There are many videos with huge viewing numbers . Freight only airline .

Heavy Haulage of the sky ! Awesome !

Late last month they left Leipzig on a flight that girdled the globe . 52350 km in 9 days . Each day has its own video . Dmytro had one up yesterday that is log of the trip , second half should be up today . At the beginning of the journey he talked about Jules Verne's book " Around the World in 80 Days " . They wanted to do it in 8 days . Got held 1 day in Melb with covid stuff so it was 9 days . I really love those guys ! What a life ! When away its all work no play but getting to fly the worlds largest airplanes .

The take off's start on the apron looking down the runway , engines warm, lights on , go !

My weekend was pretty full and I tried something new..paint by numbers...hmmm not sure yet how this will turn out as I may need a magnifying glass to see the tiny little areas one has to paint with a tiny little paint brush. I was doing it along side my daughter (14) and asked her if we were having fun yet as our noses were 1cm away from the canvas...lol....she ensured me we were...lol...well it is good for some peace and relaxation and I am dying to see what the end result looks like. I have chosen a romantic pic of a street in Paris with lots of cobble stones and the Ifle Tower in the background and two people walking hand in hand..we will see how this pans out....

WOW the heavy haulage of the sky sounds so interesting, I love that you called it that....it is so incredible really the whole concept of an aircraft let alone something that large and with so much weight being able to leave the ground and fly in the sky...it really just blows my mind that this is possible. Do not apologise for the YouTube rant, it is so interesting to see what other people are watching and are interested in, the only way to learn new stuff is to ...well look and learn new stuff.

I am eagerly waiting the arrival of the coffee man, seems to be a common thing that I am writing to you at the same time each day as I sit here and wait the Chai aromas to arrive.

Thinking of LD in Club Med this week and am so looking forward to tomorrow for you, I am sure that the nerves are really kicking in by now but I have so much confidence in you and that you are so ready for this and that it is going to be so eye opening and just feed your soul....how are you feeling about it?

I am out for dinner tonight with friends to Thai, I love going to this restaurant as I get to show off a bit and talk to the Thai wait staff in their language, they think it is fantastic that I can speak Thai and they love to chat to me in Thai...I am ok with it still but sometimes I still get some of the words wrong..which in Thai can be a very awkward moment..lol..but we just laugh. So I am looking forward to a feast tonight.

The weather is a bit overcast here today but I am hoping the sun comes out soon as it kind of makes me feel weird when it is overcast, like a looming unknown...hmm not sure what to make of that really.

I get in first today...can you believe it....well the day is here my friend and I am hoping that the new COVID restrictions have not impacted today for you in any way...if they have I am so very very sorry as I just know how much today meant to you and how much you were looking forward to it, had excitement and hesitations for it, so many emotions. I just wanted to say hello, that I am thinking of you today, that I hope that you are so happy and I hope with all my being that today is so very wonderful for you.

Hi Sarah , second try ( lost the first off the phone ) . So glad you had a great weekend painting . Will you show us when you finish? Stupidly I never thought about if you lived in a country for the time you did in Thailand that you would speak the language . I am a big bit slow sometimes ( you are helping me retrain to think more laterally on every level , instead of my old black and white analog brain activity . Lol ). I think it would be so good to interact with the Thai folk working there and can only Imagine how it would light up there shift . RFDS King Air just went overhead heading to our desto . Hopefully just patient transfer ?

Slept in and didn't get up when I should of . Had nightmares of a fine cinematic quality in the last two hours of sleep . ( really don't like them . Just have to get up and type at stupid o'clock tomorrow). Big day starting shortly. Not going on to Brisbane now as event cancelled. Oh well , was questioning whether or not I am ready for that , but I still will be able to go to the first of the series now . Haircut ( got a pic for them on the phone , really cool lesbian one ) eyebrows and ear piercing if can do that. Then doctor and of to the west . Should please LD.

The pic of LD is in September 2018 at the club med , one of the girls would photograph her and send pic to me . I was in Bris , had full right hip replacement. 28 days apart , longest time ever . She was a Clingon for ages when we got back together . Lol huge hugs xxx

Hello Sarah . Thank you for your kind encouraging caring words . I do hope you realise how much your support and caring interest means to me . You have given so much colourful light to my journey , one that has been happening during an extremely isolated time in my life . I am working on the isolation but a bit frustrated at the pace of results .

Yesterday , started with getting a little lost ( on foot ) on way to hairdresser . Google maps fixed that . Had eyebrows clipped etc then haircut . I had a pic of the kind of cut I wanted but left it to the girl to work with what she had . I like the result very much . Then back to Mr A ( parked on day pass near the hospital , &5.50 for all day . Awesome price ) and a sandwich and cup of tea and across the park to the clinic . After that back to car and kill an hour and back on foot to shopping center to get ears pierced . Now have little red sleepers in .

Back at Mr A had engine warming up and my friend ( who rings everyday usually on way hone from work . Builder who bought Wandoo my big schooner ) while I had a coffee and we chatted . Left there just after four and pulled up here at nearly eight pm . Stayed in a back street here as have TV and a little of that before sleep helps wind the brain down ( works for me ) .

Will get up when I finish here have breaky and potter off further west to get my little girl and see the chemist in our little town to get ( if she has them ) a script for blockers and home .

Thats enough of me for now . I am so enjoying your adventures . Thank you for this friendship , very much. ( hard to express just how much , to understand you would need to experience long term isolation . Perhaps you have xxx )

Coffee and watermelon for breaky ?

Hi Sarah and anyone else who reads here . Yes watermelon .

On a property a bit west of town lives a very beautiful older widower . In his early eighties now . He is vegetarian and the farm is chemical free . He uses an old farming method that his dad taught him as a boy . The moon cycle way to plant and rotating the crops to different spots and fallow years etc . Its a truly lovely place . When Jan was alive they would hold hands walking down the street in town . They had an old caravan and used to go to many of the old time ballroom dancing events within a 500 km radius of here . ( shining stars , so grateful to of seen them together and how happy their life together was ) . I was on what was a very long phone call when John turned up ( yesterday pm ) with a watermelon from his beautiful garden. As I said to him I couldn't eat a whole melon , he said he was going to his sisters and would cut me a slice . This he did and I had some before bed . So very yummy. ( thank you so much John ) . Hence the melon for breaky and early morning light . xxxx

LD went crazy at Club Med R--- early yesterday when I picked her up . Such a loud noise from a little dog. ( economy model , only has outside voice ) .

What are you up to for easter Sarah ? Whatever it is I hope it goes very very well . xxxx hugs . Plenty of scope thhave.

My friends in Bris that I was going to have dinner with last night are ( they live on the big schooner , with their two growing up quickly daughters ) going out into Moreton Bay if the lockdown is lifted .

Hello my dear dear friend

Watermelon for breakfast sounds delightful, I would love to be having the warm mornings where it is a pleasure to have such fruits for brekky, our fresh Melbourne mornings tend to want to me to have warm things. I am sure that you have tried a watermelon and fetta salad..but if you haven't that is a must...you reminded me of that when you said watermelon.

I just loved reading the story about the property you were talking about and the crops planted and grown in the moons cycle..how wonderful..and that just melted my heart to hear about them walking hand in hand down the street...I love hearing things like that...old romantic at heart.

Ohh LD you melt my heart, I can only imagine how excited she was to see you when you arrived to collect her....how good is that feeling when you are both reunited. I just love the profile pic so much...way too cute.

I am not really up to anything in particular over Easter, just some family lunches and a few trip with the kids and a bit of shopping and maybe some lazy time too....I am having a few days off next week as the kids will be on school holidays and I want to have a bit of time just to do some things with them too. What about you? Anything planned for you over the four day break? Moreton Bay sounds awesome and I hope and pray for you that the restrictions are eased and that you can have some sort of break that includes activities and getting out and about.

I have a vision in my head of how your hair looks and now your gorgeous ear rings and your brows all done, how awesome and I am so happy to hear that you are doing these things for you and to make you feel on the outside connected to who you are on the inside, just so wonderful and I am so thrilled.

Thank you for saying how much you appreciate our chats and I want to say how much I enjoy chatting to you too, I love hearing about what you are up to and just so very proud of you and how you are navigating this whole new journey, just so proud.
