It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

We just need a name 🙂

Hey Jo

I so enjoy reading your take on the day and the beautiful way you embrace the morning of the early hours when you rise. My dad was a meteorologist so the weather and clouds and the likes has always been part of conversations so I enjoy hearing you retell the moments of weather at hand.

We had some delightful scrambled eggs on sour dough toast and coffee this morning which was delightful.... but honey on toast is so divine also.

We have been down to the waterfront today where there were two fishermen scaling and cleaning the flatheads that they caught and were surrounded by about 10 pelicans. They we lined up in pairs and took turns of eating the scraps that were thrown to them.. there was definitely a hierarchy there in which they all adhered to.

We are taking a walk down to the jetty this afternoon so I am looking forward to that so much.

That sounds so beautiful . I can see many inlets in my mind . I am missing the salt air . The LD before this LD used to ride on the bow of our kayak ( 3.7 mtr sit on ) and she would let us sneak up on pelicans and I would whisper to her " tell the Mr P " and out would go a volley of barks . " Mr P from Storm Boy ".

It was amazing and I came out like 2 days later! Been great and feeling better. Feeling a bit down with all the homophobic stuff going on with the horrible SS thing and putting us all down. Disgusting how they are treating Transgender people and making fun of lgbt. Just when I was starting to feel better about myself it feels like it’s everywhere. People who hate us. Plus the symbol they use it’s the nazi symbol and I’m jewish😭

Good Morning Jo and LD too

Thank you for your kind words in saying how much you appreciate me looking over you, but the thing is my friend, I appreciate you and having chats with you, even though we are through a screen, your friendship is valuable to me and I so enjoy learning new things from you.

I am back home safe and sound after a wonderful trip with my friends, it was such soul food and I feel like a new person. We saw some really spectacular things too, like the regrowth from the bushfires and the colours that are coming through this regeneration. The stunning beach walks and just being there on the sand with no one else is sight and having the waves smash over my legs, it was just divine. We went on a massive 9km walk and afterwards I just peeled my clothes off and went into the ocean...it was so wonderful..not sure the onlookers were so appreciative thou..hahaha..I did have underwear on!!!

Hope that today is proving to be wonderful for you and that LD is giving you lots of hugs too.

I am so glad you are enjoying the journey of Sandra Pankhurst..what a story and what a book and what an adventure, tears, pain, strength, tenacity....wow..what a woman!

superstraight was born to be bait - it literally abbreviates to ss and its flag is the pornhub colours. and i really hate how i feel internet culture has hit that point where your quote dunks are funny enough that trans people have to see the 183791st transphobic stunt and be reminded how much they're treated as a theoretical social experiment and reduced to sex. it exhausts me i feel like whenever i open my feed all i see is another lgbtphobic troll account that is getting millions of clicks despite being so so obvious its bait. and this gets circulated and hurts everyone all over again. yes im disillusioned

i feel like theres a lot of antisemitism wrapped in shit like this (like how they're usually spearheaded by alt-right) and it needs to be forced out as well if we want that shit to stop. im gentile but lgbt jews have done a lot (i can remember harvey milk for one) and i love hearing about how lgbt jews interact w their religion. i think about professor susannah heschel's orange on the seder plate and i 🥺🥺🥺

Hi Sarah , I am beyond words with happiness that you have had such a soul enriching trip . ( hugest hug from me and furhead ) . Am waiting for my truck 400 km from where we posted this morning . He will be not to far off so must go when the radio calls .

We have to get the dolly off the trailer hook it all up then go about 10 km out of town to pick up a bulldozer . It will be about 550 km to destination .

Enough of that . How are the trees in the fire area and how many survived , and same to for the people , how are they going ?

We find ourselves 200 km south of where we loaded . About 600 for the day yesterday . Often many more . That's what we do .

Eight , I am feeling my age as I don't understand quite a lot of what you and Mudcakes are saying . Apologies if I seem vague in answers as not sure sometimes what I'm answering ?

Hi Sarah , hope you slept well . Humid as , here this morning . Camped ( with my truck and dozer ) amongst half a dozen road trains . A cacophonous chorus of ice packs ( ice packs are little diesel engines running a refrigerated bunk a/c . ).

Have to catch up in my notes on the last 3or 4 days . Will devote a post to it later . Tried to sleep in till 4 but the thoughts woke me early again . All good . LD got early walk across the road at roadhouse on the lawn .

Do you take pictures ? If so did you find any memorable ones you could capture ?

I feel left behind a bit when I can't understand the language being used these days .
