The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

I made extra pasta salad, with egg peas, corn, ham & cheese, with herb mayo, so brought some into the BB Cafe to share.
& if it's really, really stinking hot, drink a lot ... of WATER! Make ice cubes, have cool showers/baths, stay in the shade, too. If you want to go swimming remember the sunblock, hat, sunnies, etc.

Hello everyone,
All the anxiety, rush of Christmas Day is over, children still enjoying it, while parents/grandparents are taking a well deserved rest…so much commercialisation build up for one day is put to rest for another year….but do you know what?…we all survived it, got through it and are still here…..
Pasta salad I would like a bowl of, but will have to pick out the pasta first…not a fan of cold pasta, I will feed our beautiful birds with the pasta from my plate…The eggs, peas, corn, ham n cheese were yummy smothered in the herb mayonnaise….I added some broken up rice cakes to take the place of the pasta….
Pancakes are my comfort food for the day after Christmas…I made it through Christmas Day so it’s my reward for me…..I bought in heaps for everyone…along with lots of goodies to drizzle on top of them… also a fruit platter for a refreshing start to the day…
Today, I have decided that I’ll sit outside this afternoon and continue again on my diamond art picture….it’s taking me ages but I will complete it next year, then I’ll hang it on the one of the walls of our Gazebo…it’s of a butterfly sitting on a white rose….looks pretty..
Anyone doing anything special today?…
I hope so much that everyone has a great day today…
Hugs, to everyone..🤗🤗🤗.
Grandy..

I’m getting heat pump dryer delivered tomorrow …. last planned $ item following moving.
where I live the cats have to be in an enclosure or indoors, have plans to order enclosure in few months plus out door seating for me. Both cats love smelling the fresh air at home plus coming to BB cafe, will be my gift to them following moving in.
Still wet and cold where I am, cats have been enjoying curling up on my knees or beside me. Today has been a day of relaxing and looking out the sliding doors at my garden. I have few diamond art of different sizes, will get around to starting a new one at some stage. I have 2 small square ones completed that need to be framed.
my thoughts have recently returned to model trains layout and idea of eventually constructing one in my garage. Continuing thoughts and ideas my husband and I had but never become reality.

Hello everyone
The birds will love the pasta, as it is wholemeal. I'm gratified to know you enjoyed the rest of the salad with your rice cakes mixed through.
I enjoyed the pancakes, with some cranberry sauce. Thank you very much.
I imagine the picture of the butterfly on a white rose will be a beautiful addition to your gazebo.
I felt a little rain, hearing thunder in the distance, so I hope the storm wsn't too awful wherever it was worse.
The storm last night was pretty bad, but I didn't realise how bad it was nearer the coast until this morning. Anyone in the vicinityof storms, please take care out there, find shelter, & if you encounter any fallen power lines, don't go trying to move them, nor any fallen branches, before being absolutely sure no power lines are entangled in them. &, yes, it it's flooded, don't go into it.
Patches, did you notice Grandy has a steam 🚂 train that runs on tracks in & around the gardens, pond, & between the trees? I'm sure if you ask nicely, Grandy will let you drive the 🚂.
When your cats wake up, we'll go fishing. The pond has more to offer than ducks & water lillies. 😺
... Ooo, I'm hearing more thunder....& here comes more rain.

Hello everyone….🤗..
Mmmm just love pancakes, nearly as much as scones…just had a small bowl of ice cream…chocolate/banana/cookies n cream all in the one tub..Neapolitan it’s called, I enjoyed it…brought a huge tub of it into the cafes freezers…
Patches, my eldest son has railway tracks set out in his “man cave” as he calls it, it really is impressive…..with bridges, trees, stations, figurines, trees etc….the trains look like miniature steam trains….he’s been collecting them for longer then I can remember….I do hope you will construct one in your garage…
The cafes steam train is fun, anyone can take it for a ride around the cafe, once you sit in the drivers seat you automatically know how to drive it…..maybe News Years Eve, we can all hop onboard, have a nice little get together while driving around the cafe….while we wave our lighted up sparklers….I think that’s what they were called..
Enjoy your night everyone….🤗.

Train ride around the gardens on New Years Eve sounds good idea Grandy. Perfect way to see the New Year in before curling up under one of the soft blankets and heading off the sleep dreaming of trains. Can I please request one song we play during the evening is Morning Town Ride by The Seekers? So fitting for a train ride plus have vague memories of the song as a little girl

Yay! Train rides New Year's Eve!
The Seekers' Morningtown Ride is a great song.
May I add Take the 'A' Train written by Billy Strayhorn, as performed by Ella Fitzgerald?
& of-course a few round of She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain When She Comes?
& The Beatles Ticket to Ride?
Well, there's a diverse group of songs already - what other songs can we sing while rolling round the tracks?

Hi everyone,
Must admit I have ridden Puffing Billy in Belgrave / Emerald in Victoria several times during my life and loved it. My ultimate train ride will be the train to Kurunda in Cairns through the Daintree. I am working on it in the future…
My favourite train song is a Hungarian song from 1966, by Peter Poor, called “Hajjal Fekete Vonat” loosely translates to Oh Black Train. He sings about the black train taking away his love. It’s a groovy pop song that was my Dad’s favourite. It’s available on YouTube and always makes me giggle. Peter Poor was a typical 1960’s teeny bopper heartthrob, but very clean cut. What laugh.
Anyway, I attempted a poppyseed and lemon baked cheesecake yesterday. It needed a day or two to cool and set. I tried a slice earlier but undecided whether it is a success or not…
Have a lovely evening everyone 🙏🏼

Hello Fiatlux, & everyone,
Thanks for adding a song for our New Year's train ride.
If it tastes good, it's a success! For me, taste is the most important ingredient.
I had no idea a baked cheesecake would take so long to cool & set. Mind, in the weather we've had, I can easily imagine how it would take so long.
I was expecting more rain today, but so far, it's only been very humid.
