The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

[LRC wispers into Great Dane's floppy ear, so it looks like LRC has a hoodie on], "Tell you what I'll do, Woofa. I will get some Haloumi Cheese, cut into sticks, & fry until very honey coloured & toasty yummy, & tell Paws the sticks are carrot sticks ... what do'ya reckon? Think I can get away with it? Huh, maybe we run around the perimeter of BB Cafe, so we still keep healthy, so Paws won't notice? .. " [Excitedly LRC begins zooming around Woofa, dripping with Woofa generously offered bath]

Hello everyone….
Isnt it strange how our body craves certain foods…lately it has to be tomato with lots of pepper and salt with cheese 2 slices and put into the toasted sandwich maker to gooey it all up…..I made heaps and brought some into the cafe for todays afternoon tea…..also brought in some beetroot home cooked yesterday….much nicer than the tin ones…
My dogs do love cheese but I limit them and use it mostly for a small treat when they are being good…
Hope everyone has a great day today…
Hugs, Grandy 🤗

Hi Grandy, so lovely to see you.
I'm am sure the home made beetroot is much better than the beetroot soaking in vinegar, whether in jars or tins... I'd like to try fresh baby beets. How long do they take to get tender? & can they be frozen - if I have to buy too many for one little LRC to get through?
(More to google).
The toasted sandwich with cheese & tomato sounds wonderful, but I really don't like pepper, & try not to add salt. Both the cheese & bread will have salt in them.
I'm glad the weather has warmed up, making it easier to want cool salads. It really has been a good time, for me, to be getting into some new food habits.
& since I still am making too much for one LRC's meal, I've brought in a big bowl of a mixed Garden, Greek, & Green Beans added! Hope you all will enjoy.

Lovely seeing all the happy PETS playing in the Cafe today lol.
We have 2 Mama possums visiting every night for cut up apple, pears and or bananas lol. Their bellies are growing FAT and soon their bubbas will poke their heads out for some too!
LOVE this time of year.
So much GROWTH!
Feeling SO BLESSED to be here enjoying another Spring time.
OH GOSH we're already up to 1983!
Powering on wonderful people, we're heading for a NEW YEAR, only a few decades to go lol.
Have a wonderful evening everyone

Happy Spring/Summer! [Grinning, with a little sweat while stretching, lifting weights, & other exercises LRC can find, like repeatedly racking the snooker balls & potting them, flying a kite, & rowing a canoe up & down the river, waving to the ferries - their passengers, of-course, LRC means]
Days like these I usually like egg & lettuce sandwiches. But this afternoon, I wanted a tomato & feta sandwich. Tomorrow I may like cheese & parsley & a little ham. I am using multigrain bread, so maybe I will check how much muesli I have - we can get too much of a good thing, you know.

Good evening everyone! How's it going?
Mekitty Happy Spring! I believe it's getting warmer but where I live is still chilly at night! Tomato & feta sandwich sounds great. I love trying sandwiches of different varieties. 😸

Hey BB Cafe goers,
Nice to see you all here munching away lol.
I made the kids breakfast burritos for brunch at 1pm today, just about their wake up times if they're not working an early shift.
Bacon, egg omelette, grated cheese, roll it up and done.
Yvette took hers back to the frying pan and pushed it down to cook each side - clever cook!
I just had omelette and a MANGO!
Saw a pop up street stall on a busy road so got some cash to buy a tray of mangoes and a tray of assorted fruits. He said he'd be there EVERY Saturday AND Sunday, wooohooo!
I must remember that.
Off to prep some leftover KFC for dinner.
Then bath, work prep, Meditations I can't WAIT to do so I might listen to some now lol, then a peaceful night's sleep. Ahhh a GREAT work week coming up. I'm excited!!
Love EMxxxx

A bacon and egg omelette sounds DELICIOUS EM. And mangoes are fantastic too, love when they're in season.
Today, at the BB Café, I'm bringing two very sleepy ragdoll cats to say hi. One is a little more scared than the other, but they love it here at the Café. Does anyone have pets that they'd like to bring to say hi? Or any animals at all, everyone is welcome here.

[LRC quietly pads up to meet Ragdolls], "Hi. i am gentle & won't hurt anyone - just teach them to play snooker, & how to shed hair in forms that are artistic, maybe even to look like crop circles or Japanese sand gardens. I have popcorn & mmMarshmallows & I can show you where the best fishing spots are. & if you feel the least bit scared, I know some really good hiding places."
[LRC sits, cleaning a paw], "I like meeting new friends. So it's wonderful to meet you both." [LRC looks to the yellow triangles] "Would you now share some of that omelette with me?" [LRC widens eys & tilts head slightly to the right] "Please?"

Hi everyone,
It's turned up a bit rainy & cooler again, this morning ... seems there is no predicting what'll happen other than, being the weather, it will change.
There is some breeze, so I still will get my kite up - but watching out for lightning while I do!
I've decided I will have some pasta with a tomato-based sauce, with onion, parsley, olives & the obligatory cheese. I'll have meat, but if you don't want , you don't have to have.
I'll be playing music today. Any requests for the jukebox? All I ask is for music which won't give me a headache.
Hope you are all having a peaceful & gentle day.
mmMekitty
