The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Did someone mention Doctor Who as that is mine and daughter's favourite show.I have so many episodes on DVD and my daughter has been watching them all last week.

Looking up thr piano...all the actors are so talented

Anna paquin is amazing, she can show so many emotions on her face...and she was only a kid when she started....

Another Goon Show fan here... I still play my records of them & I made tapes so when I was stuck in traffic on the way to work I could have a giggle rather than get annoyed at the regular carpark some roads became during peak hour. I have now updated to having some episodes on dvd for the car.

Then there were Hancocks Half Hour, the Two Ronnies, Dave Allen... plus numerous comedy shows from The Good Life to more recent British ones & some of the British crime/spy shows from Callan to Taggart to Silent Witness

Not really an action movie fan... I like sci fi movies & shows... wasn't sure I would but I have enjoyed the newer Dr Who

I can think of lots of American movies I like... but I'm struggling to think of an American show I like apart from the old cartoons like Bugs Bunny etc

The old b&w tv's used to take forever to warm up... plus all channels would close for the night & all you got was the test pattern... they did have one big advantage over the modern digital tv... back then if there was interference to the signal you just got "snow" but you could still make out what was happening... with the digital tv's it just drops out altogether & you miss chunks of what you're watching.

It was good just having tv back then and happy to watch things in black and white and with a dodgy picture.

Yeah she's incredible in this, the whole thing actually is hard to believe that it's not all just real.

You might like it if you like her sleep but do yourself a favor if you do watch it, save it for a very special time, for when you can be taken away.

hey Paw Prints. i love Dave Allen and The Two Ronnies, haven't watched the others. my Dad told me about them.

It looks unreal and I like everything I read anout it, good recommendation!!!

There's a show on abc I view set in a psychiatric facility

It's also Australian directed, it was gorgeous too

Kind of like a play in a way, each episode is like an act.

Yep, more rain on its way - I definitely got the big floaties on today!

I have my helper booked to go out tomorrow - but if its bucketing down, today, tonight & tomorrow, I'm not sure I want her driving, not even though she has a van. I do get really nervous when the weather is bad. Of-course, she reckons it'll be alright. That's fine, until it isn't.
