The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

Hello all,

Just popping into the cafe after attending a local fair. It was fun there were plenty of lovely animals at the fair, I even got to hold a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a chicken. I went on a ride that jostled me around, but forgot to buy a show bag! My son loved the animals, I have about 30 photos of him with various animals he certainly has a soft spot for them, (which is great). Yesterday I saw a live play which was presented as a film, so all in all a great weekend. Lots of studies are to be done this week. I have some mince left over from a spaghetti night, so will cut up some onions and use breadcrumbs to make a patty for a burger with tomato, egg, lettuce, and beetroot. Lovely. I hope you all are having a great weekend.

Hi Leisa,

Your weekend sounds wonderful. Just add cheese 🧀 & it would be perfect!😺

😸A little perfection every day & I will (mostly) feel okay...?

Hi Quirky,

If you intended, "I'm still finding this confusing and I don't know if I am posting in the right place?  I hope everyone had a lovely day, it was mild and sunny here.  Sending good wishes to everyone!", to be posted in the BB Cafe, then you have achieved what you wanted. 😺

Would you like a cuppa? Or a snooze in the big recliner?

Hey everyone, so nice to see so much talk in the Cafe!

FUTSAL night again tonight.. cheering please hahaha.

Smallwolf, how are you doing in your recovery?
I don't like many frozen veg.. the watery thing is too much for me lol. I do like frozen corn kernels though, keep stacks of those in the freezer.

Leisa, the Fair sounded SO FUN! How lovely to have all those animals to pet and have a cuddle with. Happy your son had such fun too. Aren't animals the best??
Great you got some nice pics of him and AWESOME he loves animals awww. 😍

Thanks for making enough burgers for all of us, beetroot on burgers is the bomb imo lol.

Hi Hanna, Kitty and Quirky and everyone, hope you can stay warm and get some good tucker in the Cafe.

Love EM

Hello everyone,

We have finally had some good winter rain here the last few days... the local farmers are hoping it keeps up... but I don't think the local wildlife is as happy... when I headed out on Sunday I surprised a very wet & bedraggled looking fox in my yard... it quickly scampered back to the forest across the road... but it can't be fun having to look for a feed in the rain.

Leisa how wonderful that you & your son were able to pet & cuddle lots of animals... that would be a lovely way to spend an afternoon...

I'm with mmMekitty... the burger would be better with cheese... yummmmm

Hugs (if you like them)

Paws

😸Uh oh, sorry Hanna & Quirky, however, Hanna, you were successful in posting here. I really think it's the old brain cells getting mixed up. Something I'm thinking about more & more these days.

Sunny & cool, windy too, today. Find a little sheltered place in the sun, & it'd feel great.

Hey EM, how'd the Futsal go last night? You know, the main thing I hope for is, it is played in a spirit of fun & friendship.

Hello Paws, 😺 What I wonder, when it's rainy, & I have this area on my back porch, where it's dry, is why no wildlife comes to rest there?  I know it's not the most comfortable out there, but it is dry.

Hi everyone,

I discovered a brown onion in my cupboard had begun to sprout pale green iips from the top. It still had very short roots, all dry - one was as long as a cm, while the rest were shorter than 2mm. For the fun of it, I decided to place enough water to touch the base, but not the bulb, & took a sheet of thick braille paper, folded into quarters, & cut a hole in some middle, poked the green stems up through, & set the onion into a small coffee cup, which is narrow enough to not allow the bulb to drop down into the water. & so the bulb is shaded, & the tips are growing, & very pretty green, in my window sill, where the cup & water do warm up during the day. I guess my onion likes that.

Unfortunately, this is the time of year when my windowsill plants will receive less direct sunlight & within three weeks there will be no more, & a few more weeks until I get any direct sunlight on my back porch. By then, I guess I will pot my onion properly.

My problem is I don't like leaving anything outside of my flat. Things get taken or&/ broken. I know it doesn't actually cost me much money to see how my onion grows or not, but like it, rather like a pet. I like how the roots are growing, (& so far as I can see), looking like walrus whiskers, & how the green tips are looking more like leaves, & so pretty green. So far, it's responding to my care. When I po it, I would like to know what fertilizer it would like. I hope it doesn't want that fishy stuff - that's really disgusting to smell. I do have some slow-release granules, & will be happy to use some of them, unless I discover they are unsuitable.

It's a nice, quiet sunny afternoon. Time for a snooze on the pool table = time to practice your trick shots.

Warmly,

mmMekitty
