The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Moonstruck I eat alone quite often and no one looks at me thinking poor thing she's eating all alone, everyone is busy doing their own thing.
Geoff I'm ok except my collarbone and sternum hurt and my hand is healing from some glass wounds.

Hi Leisa,
Yes, I think it must be cute. & I think liking birds is a good reason to have one for your avatar. 😺If I didn't have this picture of Mekitty, I would likely have found (or made) a picture of a cat to use. If I make one, I'd be including some aspects of my personality in it, just by what choices I make while making.

Soup machine?

I enjoy eating alone and looking at those shoppers waking by... 😂 it was quite embarrassing for me initially, but then I got used to it.
monkey_magic glad that you're feeling ok, hope you recover very soon.
I would like some soup with... let's say fungus? 🍄

Hi On the Road,
How are you tonight?
Lets's say, 'fungus', when 'mushroom' would also be fine. Funny how most people wouldn't use 'fungus' in their everyday speech. I rather like the word, & will never be mistaken for my mmMarshmallows!
But I'd be a bit wary of that🍄you have there - could be poisonous or it is a gnome's home.
Warmly, ❤️
mmMekitty

Hello!
There is a soup maker that you can buy, it's like a blender, but it heats up the ingredients after it has chopped everything up and mushed it. You can put almost anything into it. Hell, it chops things up, cooks, and gets warm, may as well marry it!
I feel so cold today and it's 17 degrees. What a complete wuss. I wonder how my son is going on camp. The other half and I watched Fantasy Island (the horror version) last night. Mr. Roarke is not what he seems and Tattoo appears at the end. However, we could not resist shouting "de plane "every time we saw one in the movie. Loads of fun. That show was terrible in the '70s but could not resist it.
Well back to the kitchen. I'm expecting a run of guests so I'd better get cracking with homemade sausage rolls. I had a little spiral this morning but come out of it okay. This page certainly helps.

Hi Mekitty,
I woke up in the middle of the night with an empty stomach ughh.. Didn't mind just a bowl of mushroom soup or two. Tonight I had some fried tofu and greenbeans, quick and easy. But I'm considering to make some serious soup for myself.

I discovered a delightful food combination....I love it anyway....Grapes { the red ones) and fetta cheese, the Danish kind that's easier to cut, not the Greek kind that crumbles! Fetta cheese and grapes....who knew?
