The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hello Stueyb, I hope you are still checking your comment.
I think everyone is different, because if someone is suffering from any type of depression it's going to make them forget things they normally wouldn't.
From those people I have known, the onset of Alzheimer's doesn't give the person the opportunity to question whether or not they have forgotten things, if this did happen then their thinking would be well advanced rather than someone developing this illness.
Alzheimer's doesn't allow anybody to rationalise this properly as this never happened with the two elderly men I looked after, and if they did query it, then they wouldn't have this illness.
I've been taking anxiety/depression medication for over 20 years and as I get older, it's natural you need to take a shopping list with you to the supermarket.
There are memory exercises your doctor can help you with.
Best wishes.
Geoff.

Hi all,
I promise I will put the kitchen back to where I found it mmMekitty. Hope you are looking after yourself. I bought in a little rum with lemon for your sore throat. Only a very small amount of rum is needed, my father used to make this for me. I will send the lasagna to you post haste. Congratulations Monkey Magic, 3000 posts! Whoo-hoo! With the cake that is being made, I will cook some devilled eggs and loads of sandwiches to celebrate.
A sort of busy morning, currently jumping through hoops trying to access the NDIS with forms and proof of existence, etc. I heart they have been very tight lately with new applications, so fingers crossed. Am off to the local club on Friday and a book signing on Saturday so will have to work around these things, so the cafe keeps ticking over. I bought myself some pink and yellow roses and I am currently admiring them. Isn't mother nature marvelous!
I hope everyone is well enough, the cold wind has been biting here today, Winter is coming for sure. Would anyone like some hot chocolate and marshmallows?

It is a cold cosy night for me Mekitty, I already have a cup of hot Japanese green tea in hand that keeps me up in front of the screen 😸 but I wouldn't mind some hot chocolate or some cappuccino with silky milk, as Leisa68 suggested. As the winter wind start to knock on the window reminding me it is hot drink time
Good evening 🙂

Hi all,
Been feeling very loved recently. Was in a car accident and my 4wd was a ride off. Firstly emergency services and hospital staff were all wonderful including the tow truck driver. And my uncle is letting me drive his spare car so I'm not without a car. How nice is that!!

Hi, monkey magic,
That is nice that people were kind to you but are you ok? It must have been very scary for you. I'll whip you up a nice Ginger tea for the nerves, and chocolate homemade digestive to go with it. Don't worry it's on the house!
It's definitely cooler today, I love winter. My son is attending his first disco at school on Friday night, and his first camp on Monday is a way for two nights and three days! What am I going to do! I'm excited for him though, he will be learning raft building and going mountain climbing! It sounds like a lot of fun, I reckon he will have the time of his life. I remember the camps I went on, the teacher took us mountain climbing and when we got our jeans dirty he made us walk up a river to get them clean. I loved it, it was a great time. Has anyone else been school camping?
Hope all are well

Hi Leisa68,
Yeh I'm ok except for some pain in places but I had a lucky escape. Like everyone says it could have been worse.
I remember school camping. Fun times
