hey I'm new thought I'd pop in.
Wow nath sounds like a busy life! That's an amazing array of hobbies. Do you live on a large property? What kind of art/drawing do you do?
I'm 22, female. can call me em.
Favourite colour is probably orange.
I have a dog back home (I moved out 2 months ago) a kelpie/boxer cross. He's a menace. (but beautiful)
Hobbies now are yoga and being miserable.. just to be honest, ...used to be rock climbing, slacklining, all sports, reading (atm a book on Ai weiwei and Voss), anything game of thrones related, pretending I can draw, going out to dance, music (lasting favourites #1 dads, paul kelly, modest mouse). I feel like I need new hobbies but find it hard to be interested. Used to love music but lately have been finding it irritating.
I am too sick to work atm but have had a few jobs in babysitting and in child care. I am studying geography at uni- mix of physical and human/cultural. No idea what I want to do with it, I'm not good at thinking about the future, focusing on getting through. (Should be studying rn really).
It's good to meet you guys --- 🙂

Hi Em
i wish my life was busy at the moment but I had surgery on my hip not to long ago and I can't really do what I used to do at the moment, but yeah when I'm on my feet my life tend to be pretty full on its hard to keep up sometimes. Yeh I live on 500 acres we used to have 3 thousand acres at one point but my dad pretty much drove my pop off the farm and he sold most of our land and the land we have now is leased, I really miss working the farm actually I wish I had of been born a few years earlier and then I could of taken over but that's not the way things worked out.
I mainly do animal portraits but I also do sculptures, painting, screen printing and I've done bottle cap art as well. I've had a few art exhibitions so far and I have had some stuff displayed in Melbourne to. If you ever need any advice on your drawing I can help.
Cool your favourite colours yellow too, haha I like it becuase it reminds me of sunsets in summer.
im sorry your not to happy at the moment it will get better, you have all of us now to talk to as well when you need to.😃
Sounds like you have been a very active person in the past I hope soon you can get back to doing everything you used to love.
Sound like you love kids as well so do I. I hope some day to start a business taking kids into schools and teaching the kids about them. I'm sorry to hear your not very well at the moment is that becuase of your depression at the moment of other reasons?
its good to meet you as well I hope to see you around a bit
take care and I'm always here to talk if you need to

Hey Nath
Sounds like it'd be pretty frustrating having to get used to a quieter life after being so active. - Things would be so still and open living on a property like that. At first I would think it would be monotonous, but certainly doesn't sound like it - plenty of things to get into! I really admire people who just go ahead and - do. I am trying to get into good habits like that and stop getting so caught up in thoughts and analysing. I am getting better.
Yes love kids, endlessly surprising and inspiring (and annoying). I worked with toddlers in a child care centre for a year, stressful but rewarding. Hope you get to build that business one day 🙂
The last two days have been pretty stable and okay -- so comparatively awesome. It's weird how much posting a little bit on a forum can help -- I always feel stuck in the same groups of people/social situations feeling like I don't quite fit in, but suddenly I can use the internet to meet all sorts of people!? amazing

Hi, im new here so thought i would come and say hi!
Im studying a bachelor of science at the moment, have about a year and a half to go but afterwards im hoping to do another degree, either physiotherapy or medecine! long road ahead!
Its a little crazy at the moment as I have lots of exams and tests but my last one is tomorrow and then i have a few weeks without any exams which im looking forward to!
I live with my mum and my brother who is a year older than me. We live in melbourne but I was born in london and lived therefor a few years until we moved over here.
The last few weeks have been average at best, but I have been feeling a lot more clear headed and positive the last few days, I also just began medication so im hoping that I will start to have a lot more days like today!
Em and nath I love kids as well! my neighbourhood is full of them so im always babysitting them or playing with them outside in the alleyway and street. They always seem to brighten up my day
Hope you are all doing okay!

Hi em
ueah it's been really hard for me to just not do anything, I'm usally tinkering out in me shed or fixen fences but I can't do anything at the moment I did a puppet show for me boss a week or so ago and even that hurt my hip. I'm probably not supposed to but I'm working fencing next week for three days so I'm looking forward to that I think I've figured out a way of using the tractor so I don't actually have to do anything that will hurt my hip.
yeah it's nice and quite out here we don't really have any neighbors so we don't see many people either unless we want to, yeah there is always somthing to do out here to be honest I have no idea what city people do I'd be bored stupid. We don't really have a choice out here you either get in there and do it or you don't make it. maybe you should move to the country for a bit we will get you working, 😉. Me cousin is from Melbourne and when ever he comes here he freaks out has no idea how to just let go, plus his a germaphobe so he's washing his hand every 2 seconds, ha like the city's any cleaner.
yeah kids are great I'd could spend all my time with kids and never get sick of them, my friends kids are like me little nephew and nieces and I just love spending time with them they climb all over me like I'm a climbing frame. Yeah I hope I get me business started up at some point to.
im glad your feeling better the last few days, yeah just being able to get stuff off your chest helps. I'm glad your enjoying the forums and the people on here, it's been good for me becuase really there aren't any people my age out here so it's been nice talking to some people born in the same decade as me.
Yeah hopefully I'll see you round a bit

Hi cesca
good to see ya here.
physio is always a good career to get into and you can go a fair way with that, that be a good job I reakon.
what was it like in London ? I've never left the mainland let alone the country,mI'd like to travel in the future but I doubt I ever will. My cousins in Melbourne I don't really like it there but I'm pretty familiar with it, I'm up near Bendigo.
Im glad your feeling a bit better now and I'm glad your feeling better about taking your medication it really does help.
yeah kids are great they never fail to make me smile.
i used to play piano too before me fingers went numb I used to really enjoy it. Sounds like your pretty sporty.
glad your doing better

Thanks nath,
Yea I really love the physio subjects i did last semester, it all depends on what grades I end up getting and how I go on the GAMSAT (A test you have to do to do med) but fingers crossed, ill be so happy to do either!
I only lived in London until I was 5 so I don't really remember what it was like to live there but my mum always speaks so highly of it. I recently went back for 2 weeks and stayed with family when I travelled around Europe with some friends and I absolutely loved it! Its definitely somewhere I would like to live one day even just for a few years.
Im sure you will travel! You have so much time, you never know it might be sooner than you think!
Is the numbness only a short term thing? so would you be able to play again when it goes away?
Yea i do love sport, its something that I find to be so beneficial for my mental health! its the best stress reliever, especially boxing
thankyou! hope youre doing well, i know this day is especially hard
