Hi Molokai!
Welcome to bb 🙂
I am in a very different demographic - 22 female from the city.
Have you always lived in the outback? I have been on a roadtrip through the centre. The most stunning skies and sunsets I have ever witnessed.
Do you have a thread?
It is good to meet you.

Hi all, just thought I'd jump in and say hello. Lovely to see lots of nice chats happening!
Nath, I agree with you I'm from the city but would love to understand more about where our produce comes from and how much effort it takes to get the milk to us, and all the fruit & veg. We take it for granted.
When my anxiety is bad I can't read or watch TV because I can't focus. But since relapsing and getting back on meds and trying to get better I am so enjoying having better concentration. I have been watching movies and TV - it is a nice way to switch off from the day and enjoy a story. I've been enjoying Black Mirror on Netflix even though it's a bit strange! And just bought a few new books to read (trying to have a break from all the self-help and read more fiction).
I would LOVE a pet (hence my name) but my husband doesn't like animals in the house so I'm limited with what pet I can have. I have been thinking about a little bird - not sure if anyone keeps those as pets? Is it cruel to have them in a cage not sure? But I'd love a little friend to look after.

Hi swtpotato
Thanks for the welcome
I started a thread at the Welcome Orientation but before that I posted at some other threads.
I was a city slicker from Melbourne and came out bush in1986.
I'm 59 y o now so Ive been out more than half my life.Been back to the city for a couple of years in between and I like to visit Melb as I have a brother there, but there is space out here which is what I think I need.
I didn't know how I was going to get through this week end on my own. BB-great find
Thanks everyone.
Sunny side up!

Hi SN and everyone else who is reading 😊
I saw elsewhere that you're struggling SN and need to cut down on threads. This one is a keeper. I hadn't read it till today (my loss!) and it has a really gentle, positive and welcoming feel. Funny that those 3 words I associate with you too SN.
About me...
Age: 32
Gender: female
Pets: German Shepherd (Most beautiful dogs in the universe!)
Favourite colour: green
Hobbies: gardening, plant propagation, reading, keeping my feral kids from breaking windows again.
Language: I'm very very slowly learning Polish. My kids speak English and Polish and it's pretty annoying not knowing what my 2 year old is saying when she gets languages mixed up so I'm slowly learning. Languages are not something easy for me though.
It is lovely to know a little about you all. I do slowly work my way around threads but don't like to rush (easy way to overwhelm yourself) so I do like this idea SN.
