Erin Brockovich (2000)

In this Oscar winning true story film  the small guys defeat the industrial giant. Ms Brockovich represents householders who are at the mercy of a utility company over groundwater contamination. The company loses and she goes on to make a career of similar wins.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

I only vaguely remember this one now, but I thought of it because I recently saw the main actor Matthew Broderick researching his family history on the TV show Who Do You Think You Are?

Love that movie Eagle Ray, I watched it a few years ago with my friends who insisted that I had to watch it. A bit of a comfort movie, if I do say so myself.

Guardians of the Galaxy, the new one (even though I haven't seen it yet!)
