Hi Paul,

I haven't got around to doing that, but, I think we'll need the Medicare app, & probably have to have MyGov & having linked your Medicare account to that.

?? I haven't got to it ,yet, but will try soon. Things are happening for me this week & next so time may be limited, but I will try to come back with better info. I'm sure I saw something on the MyGovaccount page.

My certificate certainly is in the Medicare account.,

Hi Paul .

Yeah l haven't figured that out either yet but the nurse did say yeah just go to your my gov acc - l haven't bothered with yet. lf it's on there though and there's no other way l'm thinking l'll just take a picture of it and keep that on my phone.

ps , l agree it is def' in the right direction just a pretty big leap so early out, nsw numbers were way down. Vaxes seem to help for sure but some countries are taking off again as l say , UK , some others in Europe , US is still on 190k a day too last l saw, they do have a lot of antivaxers to though.

l'd just feel better if our numbers were far lower, but at the same time it is time we got on with things too soooo, l dunno tough call.

More people vaxed means less will become very ill & need hospitalisation. It's all about reducing strain on hospitals.

To download your certificate go to your Services Vic app. It asks you I think when you select 'CHECK IN' or there may be an icon down the bottom. You then login to my gov go to Medicare and select your certificate. When you check in after that it will show your fully vaxed or you can select the icon down the bottom to view it.

Hi Everyone,

Just a note on finding a way to have your vaccination details on your phone, it seems every state does this slightly differently.

It has been my experience that not all medical centres and places offering the vaccine automatically download this onto a Government system people can gain access to. In some cases you have to request it (Here in S.A. at least)

The industry I work in here in S.A. actually requires a copy of vaccines! Either a paper copy or it needs to sent to an email address.

I'm not sure if that is going to become a requirement Australia wide for some work places. Quite a few people I encounter coming into my work place do not know how to email their vaccination details off their phone, so maybe check this out as well.

After trying many many times to get the proof of vax with MyGov I gave up. I asked my GP for a print out and took a photo of that. Now it's on my phone to show anyone. I had to show it at the hairdressers on Sat. Easy peasy.

Hi everyone,

I'm inQld, but I was refered to My Gov, & have to have Medicare linked (I do), then I find I have to have apps, the Express Plus Medicare app, (which uses your My Gov login details & then requires you to invent a PIN), & I have the option of sending the Vaccine Certificate to (iPhone) Wallet, or to (somewhere) on my phone, but I can't find where it went! So I still an see it when I open the Express Plus appMedicare U& I bleeping hope tha's good enough.

They really don't make it easy.

I thought we were supposed to get the V.Certificate sent to our state Check In app, but it must be the latest update, but still I can't see how to do it. (Where's the 'settings' button gone?) To update it I had to go to the App Store.... ggrr gggrrr (there's no grumpy cat emoji)

I think, if we persist, we will find a way acceptable for most people who require us to show the V Certificate.

But, (wait for it), just as we think we are all set, I wonder if we'll have to get new & improved versions which would address the ease at which the current V.Certificates can be forged....

I'd laugh if it didn't give me such a headache.

Hi mmMekitty

I have the NSW vaccination passport on the Medicare express app but no matter what I do it doesn't link to the covid19 sign in on Mygov.

I've heard Medicare keeps crashing so I've given up for the time being! I just have to switch from one screen to another on my phone every time I need to show the vaccination passport!

Good luck!

Good luck indeed, Hannah3.

I hope I will not have to actually use it. I am going somewhere next Monday where I might, so I thought to give it a go. Could it be as bad as the national COVID Safe app? (which I gave up on because I was never sure it was actually working at any time.)

My only real problem with Qld's Check In app is that my phone does not guide me when I am trying to point my camera at the QR Code. When I am with someone, they check in for me on their own app. (grumble).

Cross my paws in the hope I'll get by...

aaargh! I just took another look into my Express Plus Medicare app & found a place asking if I want to share my vaccination certificate with my Check In app, so I tapped that, & I am only offered Service NSW & Service Vic apps. No other states or territories listed.

But my updated Qld Check In app shows Settings, but I'm not sure if any are set 'on' or 'off'....not that the options would have been any use as far as getting the Vaccination Certificate to show in this app, anyway.

I think this is what we get when we have people trying to catch-up in an ad hoc manner something they might have thought to begin developing at least a year ago.

I have downloaded my vaccination certificate. First I had to download the MyGovID app to prove my identity (I needed 3 forms of identity), then the Medicare app so I could upload the certificate and then I was able to link it to my Apple ID and my Service Victoria app. It is really easy to use in the Service Victoria app as it comes up immediately after I check in to each location.
