I have been passing out due to such high levels of panic for the past months.
Sometimes I have these horrible out of body, detached experiences where everythings amplified but I cant touch the emotion or the things I'm imagining. In those moments I feel as though I'm going insane. My heart starts racing and I can't stop the panic. I hate everything about my self in these moments, and can only think of what bad is about to happen. It's too much and I don't think I can control where my emotions go any more. But I don't want to ask for help if it's not sever enough for treatment. I don't want to complain, or cause trouble.

Hi Dougy
And welcome to Beyond Blue, but I do wish I could welcome you under better circumstances. Even so, it is a very positive decision that you've made to come here and put your post on the forums.
With the issues that you've described Dougy, I believe it IS warranted that you seek professional help. It's been great that you've posted here, but I really think your next step is to seek help, via your GP.
Passing out due to high levels of panic and having done so for a period of time is something that really needs to be addressed - do you have a GP that you go to?
If not, on this site, there are lists of GP's that you can search for and you should be able to locate one in your local area - and they are listed here as they are trained in all mental health issues and so you know you'll be going to someone who'll be able to help you.
Dougy, no-one here EVER causes trouble (possibly except me, cause my posts usually go for way too long!! 🙂 and this site is for anyone, anyone at all - no-one is ever judged at all and everyone is welcomed in and we try to support, assist and offer advice/guidance as much as we can. However, we are not professionals, we're just fellow sufferers, so that's why your next step is to seek the support of professionals.
Hey and also complaints, whinges, vents, and the like are all welcomed here. 🙂 And so please feel free also to come back and post a little bit more if you wish.
Kind regards
Neil

You're very kind and thank you for your advice. I have a very good GP who I trust, so that will be my next move.
I really do appreciate you for taking out some time to reply to my message!

Hi Dougy
That was great that you were able to post back. That's also very pleasing news about your GP. I hope that your next move will be quite soon. 🙂
How have you been of late?
This next step for you is such an important one because of re-reading your initial post there are some very worrying things that have been happening to you. By getting some professional treatment/advice and hopefully follow-up appointments, this will be taking a big step towards moving you in a positive direction.
And again, if you feel ok to do so, there's a whole host of us here who will read away for posts that arrive and if we think we can offer assistance, we sure will.
Kind regards
Neil

Neil is right, Dougy, take a look at two phrases in your post - "it's too much" and then "if it's not severe enough for treatment"... see the contradiction there? Your health is always worth it. Even if you werent reporting feeling so anxious, I think its better to be a worried well and check in with the doctor rather than leave it and have it balloon into something worse.

Hi dougy,
your anxiety sounds horrible and you should definitely seek help. Although mental illness is now talked about a lot more than it used to be I think a lot of us still feel like it is something we must deal with ourselves without any assistance.
Last year when I was suffering panic attacks I was very unwell yet I had no intention of seeking treatment because i was embarrassed and I didn't think a doctor would be able to help me. My family basically forced me to go see a doctor (made the appointment and physically took me there) and I am so glad they did.
We need to realise mental health problems are an illness just like any other illness and require professional treatment. If you had cancer you wouldn't just wait for it go away or deal with it yourself would you. Similarly, panic disorder is an illness and without professional treatment is most likely will not improve.
See what your GP thinks and hopefully they refer you to a psychologist who can help treat these attacks.

Hi Dougy,
You don't know how relieved I feel reading your post, as horrible as you are feeling please know that I too am in a similar circumstance, I cant say that I have passed out but everything else is identical, feel as though I am going insane, my heart beats fast and I just cannot calm down, it literally feels like I am dying (if that's what death feels like).
I wish I could give you some advice but I am still living with my own struggles and I am unsure how to handle them but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone and anything I can do to help I will even if its just an ear to listen.(or eyes to read).
Feel free to read my post which is titled 'separation anxiety??" read my story and you may learn my pain. I wouldn't say I have described it as well as you but my pain is there.
Not alone!
