My brain is telling me to not trust anyone

Bellanana
Community Member

My brain keeps telling me that no one understands what I'm going through so they can't help me. Or that they just want to get it over and done with. Or that they are lying to me.

It just won't stop. I'm afraid that no one actually cares about helping me or understanding what I'm going through, and are instead just trying to get me to suck it up.

I'm scared.

What do I do?

Hi,

I know we don’t know each other but I care and I’m sorry you feel this way. Have you ever considered talking to a counsellor?
I can tell you’re a strong person because you have already made a big positive step. Which is to post on here for help.

Hi Bellanana

At times it can feel almost impossible to hear or listen to parts of our self that insist we follow the most constructive path. Instead, we can find our self tapped into our harsh inner critic, the stresser in us, some fearful part of our self or some other part amongst a host of deeply challenging facets that can go toward making up who we are. I feel for you so much as you struggle with some part/s of yourself that's making everything feel so hard right now. Whatever it was that brought you here (perhaps your inner sage or guide), I'm so glad you followed what came to mind. It can be so hard to do, trust in a part of our self that leads us in a direction we've never been in before.

I've found while there can be a number of people in life who will insist we 'suck it all up' (which offers no form of guidance or support whatsoever), here on the forums is where you'll never hear that. Here, you'll find people who can relate to how tough it can feel to not have a sense of direction or those who are struggling with where they find themself in life, due to a number of overwhelming factors. Here is also where you'll find those who've traveled far through so many challenges and have the ability to share their experiences and the wisdom they've gained while offering a sense of direction and compassion.

Now that you're here, you'll be able to get a good feel for who on the forums you can relate to, who feels like they offer the best advice and direction, who offers you the compassion your deserve, who encourages you to vent what it is that stresses you or weighs you down so heavily, who brings out the best in you, who can see the way forward for you when that kind of vision just doesn't seem to want to come to mind and so on. Give yourself the credit you deserve when it comes to taking the first step on a path toward change and greater self understanding. ❤️
