Hi,
I am a mature aged student. My partner is mentally unwell. I live a very difficult life and wish not to be here throughout everyday. You might ask why I am still here, it's because I have two beautiful young girls, who really need me.
I have been studying nursing. I have to do 25 weeks of full time placements to finish my degree. Doing placement full time will be the straw that broke the camels’ back.
The University doesn’t allow me to do my placement part time.
what should I do?

Dear BlueSky77
Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums, we are so glad that you have made you way here and had the bravery to post and will be reaching out to you privately to offer you some additional support this evening.
We are sorry to hear what you are going through right now, life can become so overwhelming when you are also having to support a loved one who is on their own mental health journey. It sounds that you have worked so hard to maintain your studies, we wonder how you have managed this so far, with all you have to tend with at home? We see the strength and resilience in you, and part of this is reaching out for some support and direction from here, so please give yourself the credit you deserve.
We wonder if you have spoken with anyone, such as your GP or family about how your are feeling? In the meantime BlueSky77, we would love for you to give one of our fully trained counsellors a call for some counselling support, we are here 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 or via our WebChat. In addition, our lovely friends at Lifeline (13 11 14) and the Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467) are always there for you whenever things are feeling like too much to cope with.
Thank you again for reaching out, we will leave you in the hands of our lovely community members who will be here on your thread soon. They’re a really amazing community, and will have understanding, advice and kind words for you. Thanks again for sharing. It’s a powerful and brave first step towards feeling better.
Regards
Sophie M
