Dreams

I had a bad dream last night and I've noticed that I get them more when I'm more anxious.

Just wondering if this happens to other people too?
Mine tend to be about someone getting hurt, or bad guys out to get me, things like that.

I woke up this morning and went for a walk to shake it off.

Hi Chicken Wings, hope you've managed to shake off last night's lingering bad dream.

We have quite a long thread on Dreams here which you might find helpful.

Hi CW,

Aw no! I am so sorry to hear about the bad dreams you've been having it sounds awful!! No one likes bad dreams especially when you can't shake them off and they get worse...

Maybe you could try some relaxation straigies to help you calm down and clear your mind before going to sleep ? Or you could take 10 deep breaths before going to bed to just help you feel calmed and relaxed.

I always find small stragies like that can be really helpful, and also it's always good to try new things.

You will beat this, always remember it's just a dream. But it's great that have the motivation to wake up in the morning and go for a walk to shake it off that could also be another idea ? Maybe a walk later in the day ?

Goodluck!!!

Thanks Chris, I'll have a read of that thread.

hey Lori. I'm generally feeling pretty good when I go to bed. In fact sometimes I'm so pleased with how I feel at the end of the day that I have to force myself to go to bed (I don't want the good feeling to end).

in thinking about it, maybe that fear that I will wake up not feeling good is a contributing factor?

i generally wake up the morning and try to do some relaxation exercises, they don't always work but I try.
