Hi,
Just thought I would introduce myself. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and anxiety about 12 months ago, then with Borderline Personality Disorder in Nov 2015, and PTSD and Alcohol and other substance use disorder in March 2016. Fair to say the past 12 months have been a bit of a roller coaster for me. Recently lost my job and struggling with everyday life at the moment. Hard to find the motivation to even get up of a morning. Hoping this forum can help! X

Hi BPD girl,
Welcome to the beyondblue forums, thankyou for introducing yourself and for reaching out on here.
Im sorry to hear that the past 12months have been pretty rough for you. But you will get through it all 🙂
There is plently of information on Beyondblue's website about what you are going through, i would suggest to have a look at the options and links on the home page. Also these forums is another great way to be able to reach out to people and to talk to people that have suffered with the same illnesses or been in a similar situation.
Just wondering have you done anything to treat these illnesses? Or have you spoken to your GP about them ?
Have a look around the beyondblue website and also its good to have a look at the forums to connect with others 🙂
You will get through it all and you've already made a great start by reaching out. Keep in touch and keep pushing forward.

Hi there and welcome!
I think taking the step to connect with this community will be positive for your recovery. You'll meet a variety of people all on the same and similar journey. It's always great to know you're not the only one.
Do you have a mental health care plan? I strongly recommend you obtain a plan with trusted GP and seek psychologists who can help you understand your reactions and behaviours. Once you understand why you feel the way you do, you are in a position to start implementing changes in your life which will help you on the path to Recovery. For me breathing exercises were key and still are. Without professional help I doubt I would have realised that.
I look forward to seeing you around on Here
Take care and best of luck 🙂
