Hi Double K,
Honestly I haven't had the time to try the meditation again. Life is just getting in the way. I even took a day off work cos it was getting all too much. But what a difference one day to yourself makes.
Thats not good to hear you're feeling down. There doesn't need to be a reason for feeling down. I was finding I would just start crying for no reason. You mentioned you had a close friend to talk to? Are they still able to help even if they are there just to listen? I've found there are so many people on here that are here to listen and give guidance hopefully that may help. I have found not knowing who I'm talking to helps me be honest cos I don't need to hide.

Hello Zelda
Nice to meet you. Depression is not a nice place to be. It is often called the black dog and it follows you around all the time. Or at least when it's not jumping all over you or tripping you up by getting under your feet. It needs to be taught its place.
It's good you are taking medication which helps. As Double K has said many people struggle with side effects or the AD just does not work on them. Are getting any counselling? You may find that helpful, especially as your partner is not helpful. Croix remarked you can look at information under The Facts. You can download most of this information but will need to ask BB to send any booklets you want. There is at least one book for families and friends I suggest you ask for. No charge. Ask your partner to read it or leave somewhere he will see it. Because of BB's standing in the community any information they offer is well regarded. This may help your partner to realise you are not looking for attention or anything of that nature.
It's a pity you have not found time to meditate. I meditate and find it incredibly helpful. The problem is we have such busy lives that we brush aside those things that seem not to have immediate impact on us. I know I do this even though I know how much it helps me. So often I need to be here, there and everywhere, and the first thing that goes is something that would help me manage the day. Why do we do these things to ourselves?
I’m so glad I was able to get the courage to register on here. You have already given me so much hope and guidance that I don’t need to do this alone and have people that I can talk to to help me through the journey. A great first step. I hope you will continue to write in here, we are always ready to help.
Mary
