Hi everyone,

There's a heap of information on the bb website and forums that can seem a bit overwhelming for new visitors, and you might not know where to start. The idea of this sticky thread is for posting quick questions for help on finding information, resources, or particular kinds of stories - I'll be able to reply to you in here and point you in the right direction.

Hi Chris. I'm new here. I have joined the depression discussion thread and have posted a couple of messages. Under my first message it says 4 posts but I can see where they are. How can I access them and read them?

So far it's usefull but at this stage I'm not sure if it's all that user friendly. However, as I said I am new.

Hi Comet, are you talking about the number that sits underneath your name? Currently it reads "7 posts" - this is the number of posts you have made in total on the forums. You can access all posts you have made by using the "My posts" tab.

Hi Chris,

New to site. I have a friend/colleague who suffers from depression and has reached a really low point that has similar characteristics that showed the previous time this friend hit rock bottom and harmed themselves.
They have developed feelings towards myself and am unsure on how to handle the matter and help as friend without leading him on as they are looking at my help as being possible reciprocated feelings.
Can not find any forums on how to help a friend with depression that has developed feelings. I do not want to give the wrong idea but also don't want to send him into an even deeper depression as he has stopped taking his medication and won't seek help even when there is a large strong friend support base who are offering to help him through this journey and join him in seeking help so he doesn't have to do it alone.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated I do no want to make things worse.

Hi Puppies, welcome to the forums. I can't recall this scenario having come up before, I've done a thread search and can't find anything either. If you start a new thread in the Supporting Family & Friends section, then our members will be able to provide you with some support on this.

Please help me. I suffer from Anxiety, Depression and BPD. I need to know what the connection is  between BPD and Alzheimer's. My psychiatrist mentioned it yesterday when I told him about my memory loss. Is there someone I can help me find information. I am beside myself with worry. Help help me. Sincere thanks.

Hey Chris,

I'm just curious as to how I can start my own forum.

I'm feeling really unsure about what to do right now. My best friend from highschool who I haven't seen for over a year came down from interstate a few days ago, so we had lunch together. During highschool, she had a tendency to suppress her feelings of anxiety, and whenever I was to ask if she was ok, she's snap and say "I'm fine!". It was always very difficult to gage how serious her anxiety was because she was so good at hiding it. But when we had lunch the other day, she was very irritable. I don't know whether it was just a bad day for her, or whether it's something more serious. We're both in year 12 now, and our independance has grown a lot since highschool. Part time jobs, Ps, her being allowed to travel interstate alone. Next year she'd be travelling a lot to get some life experience before uni, and I'm worried that if her lack of seeking help builds up into a mental illness she'd be alone and lost for what to do.

Should I ask her if she's ok?
If she says she's fine like she has been in the past, do I just accept it, or do i push further to make sure she's ok?
If she ends up breaking down while travelling next year, does that make me a bad friend for not helping her enough?

Hi Ned, I don't believe this specific question has come up before, but you might want to try posting in some of our BPD related threads to talk to other users about this:

Hello,

Is there a way to search the forum?

I'm looking for other posts on OCD & other women with early onset perimenopause mood swings.

Thanks,

Persy
