May I ask exactly what kind of therapeutic group it is that you are after? Is it, for example, a drug and alcohol related issue?
There are a few different fellowships around which can offer you peer support, which you can attend meetings of, and meet up weekly - or more often or less often - with like-minded people. Otherwise you could perhaps be looking at places where short term live-in accommodation is part of the therapy.
Also, I'm not in Melbourne, but I did used to live there. Plus, if some sort of recovery fellowship is what you are after, then I can certainly help answer some questions and provide you with information about those.
