What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Good on you The Rose! The day's only halfway through, too, so plenty more time for things to improve. x

I've had a spectacularly average morning, however:

1. I got out of bed and got dressed.

2. Made a coffee and lit the fire.

3. Started working through my uni assignment.

Going to add on:

3. Finished and submitted the assignment, knowing it's not a great piece of work, but did it nonetheless.

My achievements today :-

Had the courage to answer an undesirable phone call & gave voice in a respectful manner that I wasn't going to be pushed around.

Laid in bed most of day trying to get my thoughts together to by being more positive.

Hi All,

I am new here, new in learning about myself, understanding and new to looking for solutions rather than avoiding it and hiding.

My recent achievements?

  • I ironed all shirts from weeks ago and I am staying on top of laundry
  • I stopped hiding everything inside me and trying to fix everything on my own - I talked to husband and decided to reach out to people I trust can support me

Achievements from yesterday:

  • made appointment with mental health focused GP
  • realised I do not have to prove anything to anyone (myself including) in doing what I love doing and taking a break to recharge is nothing bad
  • I can't think of any other specific achievement, the day was good in itself

Hello and Kudos to all of you.

My achievements today:

Woke up to the fact that my child was losing the plot at school and emailed his teachers for assessment schedule, feedback and advice.

Made an appt with GP to get help with worsening depression over the past week

Contacted Beyond Blue for help and found this forum which I am so grateful for.

Welcome to the BB forums Pedestal! I hope you find this to be a warm community to support you.

My achievements for today:

* reflected about a chance meeting yesterday with my Aunty and felt good about spending time with her (family has been a previous trigger)

* did huge amounts of laundry

* dealt with news about covid updates with sadness, not anxiety for the first time in many months

* rearranged & cleaned our balcony to make room for our chiminea - I'm minding a grandson tomorrow night and he was excited about roasting marshmallows over the fire.

Hello, first time on this thread!

some achievements I did today:

—managed to learn a new soccer skill

—realised no one is going to help me at the moment, so I’m helping myself to some love and ice cream

—made it through the day alive
