Introduction - Hello Everyone

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm 40 years of age, female. My interests include music (any genre), reading a great novel, watching comedy, Restuaranting, and learning new things. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Depression feels very lonely for me. I'd like to reach out for some support. Thank you.

It's lovely that you're having fun buying specific things for your home and that your clock is so pretty!

I'm super glad that worked out so well.

Sure lamps in the loungeroom and bedroom are great.

Alexa bought the sweetest lamps off Gumtree and I saw them on when I picked up her doggy to mind tonight.
She chose warm globes that shine a warm glow into the rooms - one in the loungeroom and one in the kitchen.
Just soft and feminine.

She's also slowly putting her home together Sleeps. Just like you, she left her last home in a hurry (again and hopefully for the last time)... so many people from her all female groups just gathered all this furniture for her in a hurry and it virtually completely furnished her home.
All beds for the kids. TV. Fridge.
Everything.

Me and a few of her closest friends bought her new mattresses and a sweet new bed for herself.
BF and I bought her a supersonic washing machine lol.

Now she's slowly giving stuff away as she can afford to replace things.

I think it's awesome.

Sleeps I LOVE mirrored everything lol!

I love how mirrors reflect light into dark spaces.
They also create "movement" in a room if you know what I mean?

I have a HUGE majestic mirror in the hallway to our home.
I got it off the side of the road c30y ago lol and spent months gold leaf gilding it.
Everyone asks me where I got it from the first time they see it lol.
It reflects light into the otherwise dark hallway.
And when the front door's open you can see the pretty garden from other rooms, also who's at the front door lol.

I have a huge mirrored dresser with 9 drawers lol!
Same thing with light and the trees in my bedroom.

I think Yvette will miss her double mirrored built ins when she moves into my bedroom later.

She got her septum pierced yesterday and had to turn the nose ring in (to hide it) to go to work lol.

Hi Tayla

Blubes is leader of the BB Interior Design team lol!

She's given us all stacks of tips about colours of things in our homes.
And things themselves.

I began clearing our loungeroom to paint!
I told Yvette my plans and she LOVES those blues Blubes and Sleepy.
We'll get sample pots of each and let you know which one looks lovelier. :-))

I also want to move the lounges around later.
Uncle's repairing the floor there... will see how that turns out.

Oh Ecomum,

Houseboats are awesome. I've slept and travelled in a friend's one and have wanted to do it again. I love the swaying motion and feeling of being underwater while sleeping in one overnight. So relaxing.

We sailed to an island and it was one of the best days in my life. Sailing the sea, snorkeling amoung a shipwreck and tropical fish, watching a dolphin show, sleeping on the boat at the island. Paradise!

I'm looking at matresses for 4 wds, have discovered I've got a power point in the back of the 4 wd and I'm thinking of using it as a camper for future travel...also going to buy a new tent and other camping goodies eventually.

So yes, planning on tripping around Oz...

...all the things I could get up to...

Yes, It's wonderful being on the water. I spent alot of my childhood on my grandparents Cruiser and with friends on their houseboats on holidays all over the place.

It was so much FUN!

It's not a love any of my children or partner shares lol.
Nor do any of the younger children like camping now (too many bad memories for them)...

so I'm surrounded by land lubbers and home bodies.

I just have to make fun where I am when I can. 🙂

Hey ecomama.

Not much, you? Just went to Woolies then went & got some lunch at a takeaway shop, was talking to the owner and this elderly lady.

There's been a few storms & fires where I live, luckily I'm safe. Huge grassfire 10 mins away from me, 6 vehicles, then 17. Luckily they put it out. Now other bushfires around.

That's pretty scary. I'm glad to hear there was a rapid response.

Do you think they were deliberately lit?

I'm glad you stayed close to home.

I had a home day. Trying to get a terrible headache under control lol. If we can control that type of stuff. We had a very hot and humid day, then a thunder storm and the dogs weren't happy, now it's plain humid lol.
No fires here yet that I know of.

Lord I Pray we can't possibly have another bushfire season like last year / this year... it would be so far too much for people to handle all that all over again. If it's even possible.

I stripped my bed to the core lol... decided to leave darling chicken in the shower recess from now on - with "green time" outside a few hours a day. But unless I'm out there with her she's pretty scared, so I bring her in.

What's your music inspo lately?
I'm listening to Stevie Wonder - MY era lol... so many AWESOME songs he wrote and performed.
Superstitious is on right now.
My favourite next performer of his songs is BEYONCE the wonderwoman lol.

When I'm "white knuckling" through hard times, I need music like oxygen to get through.
Then I feel like jiving to the songs.
Then I improve - just like magic lol.

Hey EM.

One was a hayfire, others were grassfires, so I'm not sure. Apparently lightning hit one of the shops and caused a fire but the rain put it out, where I got the food from.

Hopefully your headache goes away. I listen to rock and metal only.

Hi Tayla, welcome. How are you?

OMG it's raining ... I'm loving it. Whilst I enjoy the sunny weather, I do like the cooler air as well. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We didn't get up to much. Just the same, same ordinary routine. lol.

So, Victoria will now be free of face masks. Yay! More restrictions will ease as of 12 midnight tonight, including up to 30 ppl in your home this Christmas. When I heard the news today, this triggered me. Actually, last night triggered me with the thought of Christmas. For me, these holiday seasons are so depressing - I get really bad, I fall into a heap and it ain't good. I sometimes don't know how to cope. I just can't wait to start rebuilding in my life, I srsly can't. I just want to feel 'normal' again. My life is far from normal.

Monkey, congratulations on your car, fantastic you got something that you love. Good find. I'm super happy for you. Sounds lovely. And, agreed on the piercings. I had a belly ring once in my early 20s and loved it. It got infected from changing studs over, so I left it. Got a small scar from it. Hardly noticeable but still. "A naked man around the house. Enjoy". Ahaha .. you're naughty, I thought I was bad (I am). Lol lol .. I like the perve but that's IT!! As I said, I don't want to screw things up with him. Need him for his money. So, you have a man friend you can potentially have a relationship with?? Oohhh, you go girl.

Sleepy, I'm sooo excited about your clock and it sounds gorgeous. Soo something I would buy!! Beautiful. The candle next to it would look absolutely stunning. I would go silver base for candlestick. Jorge Jensen's ones would be in keeping with the clock. And, yes a floor lamp behind your couch would look awesome.

Ems, how are you holding up? How did Yvette's piercing go? Where did she get it done? I like piercings in the right places like a tiny one on the nose, belly & downstairs (on women, not men). Looks really hot, I've seen a few. Nice, nice.

Again, I don't know how I'll cope through Christmas, new years (especially nys eve for me, that's special for me). Lord, I don't think I'll be able to cope not having anyone around me - this year will be my first NYE alone. I'm dreading it.
