It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!
There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!
Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.
We just need a name 🙂

We'll be here for you, Jo. ❤️❤️❤️ waiting. Getting up to mischief, but I promise we'll get the place cleaned up before you are back.
So I'll order a big air-filled Partridge for the Pear Tree? Be really is nice with tinsel and stars and lights, (solar powered, of-course.) Lately, it takes stuff so long to be delivered, I'd better get onto it today.
Sorry, DnG, not a mouse, not even stirring anything inside the house...

DnG I'll devide myself into two, & see you over in your new Thread for I Spy games.
I will still be hanging around here, walking the perimeter, keeping the hearth warm, the billie simmering, and the cows milked.
You never know, someone could drop by anytime. 😺 & I wan to be sure they feel welcome.

Hi Jo, I am sad u lost an entire post, that is very distressing when that happens to us.
I hope and pray for your safe trucking this week. I did only about 140 km driving on sunday... and once the darkness settle in i discovered i was somewhat confused and lost even on the streets of my home town, and the roads and suburbs that I know very well.
I was tired and my sense of location/direction just fell away. But i made it home to reconnect with my place.

I know that feeling. I get lost in my own flat, & have been here 21 years now!Turning off the lights, getting, not seeing anythng but the bright phosphenes my brain produces disorientates me, & I might turn to go to my bedroom, but I don't turn in the right direction, and I spot some light, and think it is my back door, and take a couple steps, and I suddenly cannot feel anything within reach, (except for the carpet under foot), & I begin to panic. That feeling , as if I am miles from anything, is a source of panic for me.
Or I simply don't remember which way I was facing when I went to sleep, or I forget which room I was in when having a brief doze, and am confused when I wake.
Or, an example more in keeping to yours, DnG, if I am in a car & don't know where the driver has taken me, which route they chose without telling me. I find that very unsettling, I am anxious & verging toward panicking when that happens. It makes me feel so utterly vulnerable.
I had a really bad dream about that, once. It was so rea I was afraid to even try to take a taxi from a rank for quite a while after.
Everyone on the road, do take care, so we may hear from you soon!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️some more of Jo's red hearts to share around. They are so great!

Okay, looks like clean-up day tomorrow. I'll need a pretty big skip and lots of soapy water.
After, how would you like a fern gully garden, like the one Roma Street Gardens had many years ago? It was a cool and shady spot with a pond and a walkway, benches, and ferns from the ground up, high overhead, tree ferns, those were. Lovely, sof feathery fronds. a mist machine kept the place humid and cool, something like 10° cooler than elsewhere around.
When there, it was hard to believe I was easily ten minutes from the centre of Bris CBD. I could hear nothing of the city's noise, could barely make out the very top of one tall building, and, well, it was beautiful and peaceful.
I'll start cleaning, so Jo won't come back to this MEGA MESS! or ought I wait until dawn? I'm happy to wait, iI hear any snoring from anyone.

G'day, DnG, & wife! Pleased to meet you, mate!
I'll be back in a jiff. You just pick a spot, relax as you like, & whatever a 'banrock station' is, I expect I will find for you, ... eventually, no worries. We've got all arvo for that.
I have a batch of lamingtons in the fridge, getting nice about now...
Anything else, just give us a hoy.
(Did you happen to notice how the path was clear, the garden trimmed, the cows peascefully grazing, & your pear tree has been watered? This place is gonna be an oasis - not the band. Anyone will love to spend time here!
I would like to be a little serious, though, because I have been trying to find out & get really frustrated, because, while I think the allowable exemptions to wearing a face mask are similar from state to state & territory, they may not be identical. I still don't know who or how these exemptions are monitored, regulated, policed, or anything.
As you know, I'm in Qld. I got my exemption from the Psychologist I saw in regards to my problems concerning the mask. I'm still not sure I even am required to carry her letter around with me, in case I am asked, if I am required to show it, or not, or to whom, etc. It is not made clear at all even in the official statements I found on Qld gov's website.
I found. the current notice:
"Restrictions for Impacted Areas (No. 19) Direction ....
"The requirements under paragraph 6 do not apply:
p. to a person who
has a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, which
makes wearing a face mask unsuitable; or
Examples – persons who have obstructed
breathing, a serious skin condition on their face, an intellectual disability,
a mental health illness, or who have experienced trauma."
& that's all I found. This is just about as frustrating as not being able to wear the face mask itself. Have you thought to try to talk to another better, a Psychologist/Psychiatrist, who would be more qualified to assess your eligibility for the exemption? Given what you have said about it, I'd've thought you do have a legitimate reason to be exempted, Wherever you live.
Have a look into the state's website relevant to where you live. Or, I'm sure there is a phone number, or the National COVID number (1800 020 080).

Guest9337 indeed!
As far as I am concerned you will always be DnG.
If you are still reading, please come and talk. Whatever has happened?
If it was anything I said, please, let's talk.
It hurts to see you designated as Guest9337. I find myself quite upset about this.
No good-bye?
