The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

what a lovely day, Patches, & it's wonderful you can knit the little jumpers to help the rescued lambs.
Warming my hands is one of the first things I have to do now, just getting the joints moving.
Here in the BB Cafe, of-course, it is no problem. The sun in the window is so lovely & toasty warm. & yes, those doves are interesting.... I got my eye on them, too. Lucky for them, they know exactly how to keep an eye on us cats, eh?
Maybe I'll just go wake up the ducks, instead....

Hey Hey everyone!
Its not super urgent yet just trying to get some feedback on the AFL Grand Final
Gene Simmons (The Band KISS) has offered to perform at the Grand Final after Crowded House decided not to perform in the Grand Final entertainment this year.
The AFL hasnt taken up Gene Simmons (KISS) offer to play the last time I checked the news
Would any members want KISS to provide entertainment for the Grand Final this year??
Even if you're not attending/watching the Grand Final your thoughts are welcome!
my kindest always
Paul

Hey Paul,
AFL, Gene Simmons&/or Kiss, either individually or together are not my cup of tea.
I'm sure there are BB Members who will be more interested in talking about it than Iam.
I think I will relocate my hammock out to the trees until it all blows over....try not to cheer too loudly, if that's possible - & I'm not sure it is... how can any cheer be 'too loud' under the circumstances.
Maybe I'll cheer for the umpire.

Oh, sad Moon. I'm sorry you haven't been able to go out for sushi. I'd go with you if I could ... You could have at least 99.9% of it ... I do like the teriyaki chicken, but more so, I like the salmon, cream cheese & cucumber mix, so leave me some of those, & I would happily go with you.
Is there no-one you can ask out to lunch, Maybe say, "Hey, let's go out & grab some sushi & take it to a park for lunch. How about it?"
I would be happy to join you in a lunch in a park. Listening to the birds, listening for dogs & kids, maybe, or people talking nearby, or playing sport... it's really enjoyable.
After lunch, we could take a stroll around, following where the path leads. You could tell me what you see....
Your son might like such a break for a while, even a lunch break?? Maybe?

Hi Paul,
No matter who plays at the AFL Grand Final, there will be people who thoroughly enjoy the performance and others who will state it was terrible.
I wonder what their criteria is for choosing people to perform? We watch the grand final each year, can't say I could tell you who performed though! My memory is not all that good.
Who have you enjoyed the most at a Grand Final in the last 10 years?
Regards all from Dools

MeKitty..OK its a deal. Even if you can't go with me I can get some sushi, eat it along the boardwalk at the beach, and describe to you what I see. ( my sons don't live in the same town as me...Gee I need them now.). Or I'd like to go to the Sushi train but only if you come too,
Hugs to you too............

Guess what, Moon, Grandy's steam train has a sushi train!
You can come & blow the whistle when I am about to finish my turn at driving & we'll walk to the sushi train carriage together. It will be splendid.
We can take some sushi to some end, the caboose, then some more to the beach. Believe it or not, there is a station right there in the sand.

Hi Moon,
Sushi at the beach on the boardwalk sounds like a great place to me. I am quite used to purchasing food or making up a picnic and a thermos of hot drink which I then take somewhere in nature to enjoy.
My sister and I had been for an early walk and had packed a combined picnic breakfast. We were at a lookout enjoying it, a couple cam along and chatted to us and shared in our food. It was a lovely experience.
Hope you do manage to enjoy your sushi.

Paul,
I only really know "I was made for loving you", which is one of my all time favourite songs, so as long as they play that I'm more than happy to see them perform at the Grand Final! Haha. But I do love my 70's/80's/90's songs too, so I'd be keen to watch regardless. I've also been getting a bit more into AFL this year since my work started a footy tipping game and I'm close to the top of the leaderboard.
I won't join everybody in eating sushi (I'm not a seafood fan), but I'll join in the conversations and laughter while all of you enjoy your sushi. Unless there's vegetarian sushi, then I'll absolutely join in!
SB
