The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Hi Matchy,

We had a little break in the rain earlier, too, but it is raining again,☔ not as heavy as overnight or this morning, but it is continuous.

I'm so glad I am downstairs, as within the upstairs units the noise would have been unbearable for me. Yesterday, I was thinking, if I was upstairs, I would have prefered to go stay at an hotel ;until this rain stops.

As it is, my floaties are becoming waterlogged. Maybe I get a submarine, for next time? But there is no emoji submarine! There are some other floating options, from a 🛶

to a 🚢. Maybe I can manage a🚤up & down the river....although, because I'd want to rescue stranded pets, a ⛴ would be better. I wonder what the City Council would think if I borrowed one of theirs?

Cloudy here no rain this morning yet

The rain has continued all night long, not very heavy, & doesn't seem to be slowing any more, yet. According to BOM website it's supposed to ease later today. I thought I just heard some thunder...yep, definitely thunder.

We haven't had rain lasting for days like this for a very long time.

I didn't sleep well, & had only 5.5 hours, I suppose, drifting off while I had a book playing. Not a really good book - good for going to sleep to. Most of the time the reader is pretty monotonous, but not too fast or slow. I'm just not getting into it. When I woke earlier, I couldn't get back to sleep.

So, early breakfast - I feel like something warm, some eggs, an omelette? That sounds good to me. A sunny omelette.

My heart goes out to the people effected by the floods it is so devastating for the people effected.

At times it has been bucketing down, but I could still hear my neighbour above me, screaming at someone over the top of the rain. I could interpret this to mean, the rain isn't so bad, if I can still hear him... 'cause I don't think he was louder than is usual for him.

Maybe it will clear up some, but not entirely, according to BOM website. The rain seems to be less consistent, heavy sometimes, then lighter again, & I'm expeing more heavy rain, because there is yet no sign that the cloud is breaking up at all. I think the wind has shifted though, so I hope.

Afternoon tea, anyone? A little Black Forest Cake with it would be very nice! 😺

That thought makes me hungry...
