Fortunately/unfortunately

Hey everyone, I like playing games, so I thought that I would start one that I sometimes play with the pre-schoolers at work. It's called "fortunately/ unfortunately". The aim of the game is tell and create a story, kind of like a serial, but the beginning of each sentence or paragraph has to be with words fortunately or unfortunately. The trick is that they have to alternate. It can be a creative, silly or just plain crazy. But the aim is to keep the story going. I'm going to start with.....

It was a bright sunny morning, so today I went to the beach. Unfortunately everyone else had the same idea as I did, but.....

Next person is to continue the story starting with fortunately.

Feel free to join in!

Fortunately I have the capacity to accept critisism when directed at me. So if any lines have been crossed due to something I have said, then I unreservedly apologise. 😞

Unfortunately going to the beach with a cast on my leg wasn’t the cleverest thing I’ve ever done. There’s sand in my cast & I itch like crazy!!

fortunately I found a lady knitting so she let me use a knitting needle to scratch inside the cast,

Unfortunatelly as a result of my constant scratching I think my leg has become infected. I've scratched so hard the needle broke.

Unfortunately the needle couldn't remove the sand so I got someone to help me hang upside down on the play equipment so the sand could fall out of the cast. At least it gave everyone a good laugh watching me.

Unfortunately the video camera ended up with sand in it and was washed with seawater. Oops.

Fortunately the camera was waterproof, was still running, and captured some tiny fish swimming in the shallows.

Unfortunately there was also a school of blue bottles among the fish in the shallows

Fortunately the photographer was wearing a wet suit and wasn't stung by the blue bottles.
