So I've got a lot going on in my head and I feel like it's too much to post in one thread on here. So am wondering the process I take to find a great therapist? Do I start off with going to my GP, or can I find one myself? Do I need a referral? What are the average prices? I have no idea how any off it works.

Hey there thanks for reaching out and welcome

i Think it is best to go to your GP as it can be expensive but you can get a mental health care plan where Medicare will cover the costs

Then Your GP could recommend one or you could find one yourself depending on what your looking for

i hope this helps

Hi Avocadooo,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Please see your gp ( book a double appointment) and do a mental health plan with your gp.

Once you have done your mental health plan this will enable you to see a psychologist ( the first 10 sessions are usually free).

hi there,

i am sorry you are going through this, it must suck.

the first point of call would to see your GP, they can assess and hopefully get a mental health care plan for you to see a psychologist (referral) 🙂

your GP can recommend a specific psychologist for you or find one yourself. Some places will receive your referral letter and call you to set up a time, or you can call them yourself once you have your referral.

I hope things improve for you soon,

Jaz xx
