Hi All,
Anxiety has caused me grief at work; which leads to OCD at work & anger toward the management style of the boss 😳 trying to use meditation/kindness/patience & breathing exercises whilst working.
But, lost my “cool” today in front of a much younger work colleague (who is also in management). Feel frustrated, angry at situation & contemplating leaving, although I understand that, if I do, the same control issues will arise just with different people 😳
what else can I do? Am a golden “oldie”!

Hi, welcome
Workplace stress is a terrible feeling and not being able to walk out is akin to being jailed imo.
I think the benefit of the doubt is needed here, that in the workplace people are not themselves, their behaviour is erratic and unfriendly, usually as they are under stress also. So what I've tried to do with some success is to try to get to know them first, this takes a good 6 months, then you are more than likely to like them as people.
Please read this thread (you only need to read the first post of these threads.

Basically it is getting the best out of people. This might sound condescending but it is really a survival technique. The other thing to swing towards becoming the wiser older person that people will eventually gravitate towards for advice on work matters. This takes a lot of time.
However, there could also be a medical reason why you have a short fuse. Attend your GP even if you dont believe there is anything wrong.

The following thread refers to thinking smarter to achieve your goals. Worth a read.
