Community Member

Anxiety is a common response of the body to stress and threats. Various reasons can cause anxiety. Exam fear, interview stress, giving speeches in front of people, etc., are some common examples of stress. Anxiety can be managed naturally by proper diet, sleep, exercises, meditation, etc. For severe cases, it is advised to seek professional help.

Hello lunajohnson

Thankyou for your contribution to the forums and welcome

Just a note if I may....'Fighting' anxiety isnt helpful. Fighting anxiety only increases the fear and flight response thus exacerbating the symptoms that the person is experiencing in the first place.

Calm and true acceptance is very helpful as it decreases the adrenaline flow which in turn decreases the anxiety levels. Of course with acute anxiety levels seeing our GP is the first step towards recovery.

When anxiety begins to have a detrimental impact on our ability to function effectively on a day to day basis then we require to see our GP as soon as we can to prevent possible long term complications.

Thanks LJ and Merry Christmas to you

my kindest always
