Can moving into a new place help anxiety?

Hi, I got so stressed and anxious with my uni work. Every time when I'm alone in my room, I can't stop crying. (My room has no window and always dark.) My dad asked me to move to a new place. Does it help? Any suggestions?

Hi Zoe,

I'm sorry to hear that uni has been really stressful for you lately. If you're comfortable, would you like to share a little bit more about what's been going on?

I think that tears aren't necessarily a bad thing, it's okay to cry, especially when you're feeling so overwhelmed. Perhaps, your room isn't necessarily triggering this but instead, it's just a safe space for you to let our your emotions. I completely understand though if you feel like this sadness is preventing you from doing other things.

Do you tend to study a lot in your room?
