I was very nervous on ANZAC Day my son marching with the school in the parade. He was well behaved and didn't yell out during the service. My son has been a bit rebellious lately and angry out times.I don't know if it's because the specialist changed his time of medication for him trying to see if it changes his tiredness but it hasn't.

My daughter did get put on the DSP which is a real relief.

Hi Mark,

Good to see you here again, I've been wondering how you all are!

How good that your son participated in the march, did he feel proud of himself? I hope so!

Also great news that your daughter was successful with the DSP, they've made it so difficult for people now, and if people don't get it they're stuck on the pathetic unemployment benefits.. Such a relief for her and you!

How is her course going and is she still doing volunteer work with the local RSPCA?. I hope you are keeping well and that your garden is enjoying the rainy weather we've all been having for a while now.

Best wishes! 🙂

My son had really struggled with his moodiness and anger since the specialist changed his medication. So we made a division to change him back to the old medication and seems to have improved. He did not have a very good week at school last week which made us make the change. We are also thinking of changing his specialist if we can.I am not sure what other ones are available out here.It has been a struggle for me and my depression has gotten worst.Hopefully my son improves and will be one less thing to worry about.

Hi Mark,

That's good that your son is improved on his previous medication - at least you know not to try that same change of meds again... and hopefully he will settle down again now.

How is your daughter doing with her course about animal care?

I hope you feel better yourself soon too!! Best wishes...

I am still struggling with my son.He didn't have a good day today at school and this afternoon had some test at the speech pathologist. He sees the specialist in a couple of weeks. Not sure if she will be much help.We will see if we can find a different one for another opinion and different approach.

My daughter's got tafe tomorrow and has been enjoying it.She changes next week to a Wendesday class. She hasn't started at the RSPCA yet l.She got an email for the orientation.Their is so much happening and the RSPCA is so far away and just trying to find time to do it.

Hi Mark

I hope things improve for your son. A second opinion might be a good idea.

I'm glad your daughter is enjoying her course, working with animals sounds like a career that would be very satisfying for her.

Good to hear how things are going with your family. 🙂🐶

My son goes back in a week to see the specialist. We will see the same one as my son isn't doing to good and we need to see someone soon as possible and I know new one will be a wait to see.

My daughter was suppose to do her orientation today at the RSPCA but had to be cancelled due to the roads being flooded. We will work at another day soon. You just do it online to book it.

I got scared after having a near miss in the floods. It is so wet here now and I am finding it depressing.

Hi Mark,

I'm inland in NSW and we have had almost no rain here, but I know people in Lismore and Ballina who were very lucky to be all right in the recent dreadful floods.

Constant rain is depressing as you can't get outside and do much - I hope it's not damaging your vegetable garden.

Good idea to go with the same specialist for your son if he's struggling, rather than risk a long wait. Your daughter must be disappointed that her orientation was cancelled, but I'm glad she is not having to travel in the bad weather on the roads..

I hope things dry out for you there soon! We actually need more rain here, it's a shame it rains where it isn't needed and other areas remain dry!

It's been a very long week as I had to rush my so to the hospital as he had suspected appendicitis. After a few days in hospital we finally could come home. Was a very draining experience on us.The lack of sleep really takes its toll on me.

Hi Mark,

Is your son ok now? Was it appendicitis?

I wonder if he was feeling unwell when you were having trouble with his behaviour - could that have been contributing to it?

Glad you're all safe home again! 🙂
